OK Guys, Freds Looks great Black with red lettering I too thought they were molded in color. NONE OF THE EXTERIOR PLASTIC PARTS ARE MOLDED IN COLOR The bumpers are painted. If you want Black bumpers for your `97 or `99 they can be painted. No need to buy set for `00. Just make sure they are done correctly, just as any new cars front facia is painted. The bumpers are PAINTED GRAY on `97 & `99. They look like any other plastic car bumper under the gray or black paint. SO no big deal to paint black or body color or any other contrasting color. Several have been painted by owners so far. Several owners say they have marks on their factory bumpers. They are painted with paint that has flattener in it. It is not as easy to clean as a glossy surface. How many have flat paint on your walls at home? Can you clean them? This winter I plan on removing rear bumpers, painting them Yellow and filling the lettering. Larry
