I will PROBABLY order one of these and if it fits, I won't have to do anything else. Problem solved. However, that looks like the other pictures on the internet and everyone says that it doesn't fit. I don't have first hand knowledge at this point so I can only repeat what I/we have been told. I appreciate all the feedback and help. Robin may have saved the day. The last four numbers are 1904, which makes me somewhat concerned. Stay tuned. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 06-03-2019 at 02:20 PM |

Ed/Robin, that radiator only comes up for 1997. If you were to type in 1998-2001 no radiator shows up in the part list. Ed was concerned if the 97 rad is different than the other years. |

If you change the choices from PLYMOUTH (which comes up as a '97) to CHRYSLER which allows the choices of either a 2001 or 2002, then you can order one. The '97 Version must be different and they dont have that one in stock. Their Radiators are cheap enough with free shipping and no tax, so I ordered one. Will compare it to an actual '99-'02 Radiator I have out of the car and let you guys know what it actually looks like side by side. |

I was quite sure the 97 was different but I wasn't sure how different. The thermostat on a 97 is easy to access compared to the later ones so I knew there were some differences but I never looked into the exact differences. I am awaiting drawings from someone so when I get them I will know a lot more but I am looking forward to Buddy's findings. |

Only one row, love to have another row. 11/2 “ inlet is correct. Can someone verify that bottom hose is 13/4”? |

I can pretty well verify that the bottom is NOT 1 3/4". I think it is 1 5/16th. |

The overall height is diff. The pins are a little too close together on the top and need to be threaded. The bottom pins are a little larger in diameter. The bottom hose outlet is angled too far out and is too large, 1 3/4 v. 1 5/16th. The fan housing is a little off due to the height diff. I am betting big bucks that Buddy's will have all of those flaws. I hope not, but I would bet on it. They must all be getting them from APDI since almost every picture is the same one. Hopefully we will get this fixed in the near future. |

Well, THAT experiment didn't go as planned. Just received an email from NewParts.com telling me they were going to refund my $$ since they didn't have the item. Kind of funny since the Radiator was in stock yesterday... Looks like we're back to square one. Here's the email: Dear Customer, We regret to inform you that the item you have purchased is unexpectedly out of stock and a date when this particular inventory will be replenished is unforeseeable at the moment. Your order will be refunded and we will work on eliminating issues like these from happening in the future. We apologize for the inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding. I am getting a lot of info from PMs, phone calls and emails. I am not posting all of it yet, I am sorting things out and I don't want to get the hopes up and then it doesn't pan out, due to crap like they pulled on Buddy. There is a lot of bad info about the radiators. I hope to sort through it. Hopefully sooner rather than later. |

I got an email and a phone call from a member who has a friend in the business and in the know. He stated that SPECTRA has no Prowler radiators in stock and does not plan on making any more unless they get an order of at least 100 units. I think that info is accurate but we will continue to look into things. I hope to get over the guys shop that installed the new ball joints. I THINK he is putting in the new radiator for the local owner. I will see if I can get the old radiator from him or take a ton of measurements and photos to see what we need to get more made. Stand by, more to come, I am sure. Again, I THINK that is accurate info but I am not positive about it, of course. |

It sure seems that it would be easiest to take old radiator, keep the core, since it has the top mounts, rod it out ,build /modify off-shelf brass tanks, and solder it up. Just my opinion. Then you would have an all-brass repairable radiator . |

Give that a try and let us know how much trouble it is and how much it costs to do it. I am sure a lot of folks would be interested. Especially those that are currently looking for a radiator. |

Years ago AFCO made an aluminum radiator for a 33 Willys . We took the one we had that fit and they made a copy for us. Griffin rep at street rod nationals told us they offered same service. Also there is a street rod radiator manufacturer in central Indiana who does custom work, name escapes my ancient memory. Be Cool is another manufacturer |

I'm embarrassed. Was investigating radiators and here is a shop where I have dinner every other week. Will make time to stop in and talk with them. THANK YOU! |
