I put my prowler on Ebay, not really sure I even want to sell it however someone offered me 26.8 which I accepted. They are supposed to place a deposit within 48 hours. They are in MI but a get an email asking me to contact a company in NJ - I call these guys, all foreigners who say they are an exporter for buyers in Europe. They want a copy of the title front and back (why?) and say they will wire funds once I send bank info. Anyone gone this route? Sounds sketchy to me - I told them I want the deposit before I do anything but I am not really comfortable going forward. I think I'll cancel and try and sell locally |

Not unusual wanting a copy of title to make sure its not branded....stolen, reconditioned, flood, etc. And to make sure it is really in your name. Sometimes folks dont actually transfer a title to avoid paying taxes on said vehicle, but the taxes still have to be paid by someone and the next owner does not want to pay the previous owners owed taxes. Never the less, always be skeptical of overseas transactions. |

Scam do not send anything until you have the money you asked for in your bank secured. They will ask for your account information then say they will deposit the money and will have a broker come and pick up the car. Be very cautious . If it seems to be to good then it is. |

The serial number should be enough for them to do proper checks...sounds like a scam to me.... |

If you decide to proceed, open a new account and give them that account info. After everything is done, close that account. Proceed with caution. |

Have a small savings account with $50 in it... Give them that account number for them to 'wire transfer' to that account number... Wait until the transfer clears your bank and their's....completely. After that, transfer the sales money in your savings account over to a checking account,,,,leaving the original $50 in the savings account. I've sold several vehicles this way....works well for me. Good luck |
