I fondly recall some years ago GM fussed over the sound made by the car door closing. I think in the old days there was a lot of 'loose hardware' inside doors that would bounce around during the initial slam. To this day I can tell the sound of a 66 chevelle trunk lid either opening or closing, blindfolded. It was that unique. |

Myself and my crew were at the Summer Nationals many years ago at Raceway Park in Englishtiwn NJ. Amazing that we made it there as the night before was a friends stag party. We had pit passes and in those days you could walk right up to most all the cars that were being prepped. My buddy and I stuck our heads into one stall where there was a funny car going through idle adjustments. The chief goosed it just like in this video as soon as my ears were close enough. I thought my hungover head actually came off my shoulders. Couldnt hear for a while. I think it was fun. Not sure. ------------------ |
