Infiniti never made a car named the 33oi. Even a 330i.

b/s beachcrap,i worked for infinty for seven years.the i30 became a i35 a few yrs later.to make it fit you will have to modify the mounts a bit, otherwise the ends of the spoiler will eventually rub the paint off the lid, because of them rubbing on the ends only a minor clearence problem, but easliy fixed if you know bodywork, which you dont.this mod was done at least 10 yrs ago.since then there may be spoilers from other cars that may work.you may be also find them from a wrecking yard,if they will sell it seperately from the lid which some wrecking yards wont do.

No i30 in 2002

It became an i35 in 2002. Look it up.

You are right about having to modify the mount though.

Ihave heard of people putting rubber gaskets to raise the infinity spoiler high enough to clear the brake lite . Is this true and if so does anyone have details on the process.
Thanks

You might have to raise it about 3/8". You could use a variety of materials.Just trace a template from the spoiler's feet and transfer it onto the rubber. Remember if you have a hardtop or intend on getting one, to set the spoiler back far enough.

Or you can remove your 3rd brakelight since the infinity has one of it's own.

Thanks for the info. If you remove the existing brake light do you have to paint the entire trunk lid or is there something you can put in the holes ?

the infinity spoiler, barely touches the brake light,if it does touch shim it a little or ignore it.if you shim it it will create a small gap between spoiler mount and lid.to fill that gap use a weather strip glued to the bottom of mount.you can get weatherstripfrom ace hardware that will work.you will need about 2ft of it,and place arond edge of mount, you dont need to cover the entire flat surface of mount.the ace w/s is about 1 inch thick and 1 inch wide.has adhesive on one side and will fill the small gap.i left the 3rd lie in spoiler and hooked it up to the stop light circuit,or dont hook it up at all.

that is the dilemma. You will expose 5 holes. I know of one owner who covered them using a heavy vinyl decal, the same color as the trunk lid. you won't really see that area once the spoiler is on.

Personally I think that Infinity spoiler is more trouble than it's worth. I have had 2 of them and one is sitting on the shelf because I'm looking for a better one. I will sell it to you cheap if you want.

Here is one I have been itching to try but can't bring myself to spend the money and find out it won't fit. It's more of a wrap around like the TGF one. It says $540 but I've seen it for $430.

I have a 2006 GTO rear spoiler that I'm going to modify to fit the Prowler. I've looked at so many and I found this one to fit better and look better and actually fit the curve of the deck better than anything else I found. It needs to be raised a bit to clear the outside of the deck lid and with that it'll clear the 3rd brake light as well. I'm going to use the 3rd brake light that comes with it and use a vinyl mask over the spoiler brake light with some type of design on it. Search the net for one and see what it looks like or try this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/04-06-Pontiac-GTO-LS1-LS2-OEM-Deck-Lid-Trunk-Lid-Spoiler-Assembly-Black-/310535357021?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item484d59825d&vxp=mtr

Catlitter, you've already been wrong twice in this thread and concurrently in another thread. In fact 90% of your posts contain mis-information.

But we want your opinion so we will know what not to do.

The king of mis-information casting stones again. Stingray and I were the same person and he guaranteed it.Jan you've forgotten more than he knows. Since you just got out of the hospital I guess he thinks it's a good time to start picking on you. Don't worry we know who's the man.

Sorry folks that a thread had to be, once again, highjacked by this person. I hesitate to respond to him, for your sake, but this needs to be said.

Silverkat, since you've been here, I've yet to see you post anything that could be considered a contribution. I was encouraged by your hardtop pictures a while back but that was short lived. Your post here is a perfect example. You have nothing to add to this thread about spoilers. You just swoop in to defend your idol. Of the 250 or so posts you've made to date, 240 or so of them have been you whining about me mistaking you for someone else and brown nosing with your idols. Trying to score brownie points and be one of them. Again, haven't you noticed that none of your masters EVER acknowledges you? It's so hilarious. I can just see you tugging on Catfish's pant leg. " Did I do good Catfish, did I do good?"

Yes I was wrong about you being stingray. I did apologize to you but retracted it when I realized, it was actually a compliment. You are much worse. A vindictive child who is a thorn in the side of this website.

Well, I'm glad you have aligned yourself with Catfish. Most of us roll our eyes every time he posts. Some of us feel sorry for him. Many, dislike him. Lately he has shown us all what kind of a person he really is. A woman hater, a screaming racist, a know-it-all and a childish idiot who makes mistake after mistake and refuses to admit or is too stupid to admit it. And with all that he is, you aspire to be his chatty little parrot. Really, what does that say about you?

Now let's hear another of your, "wha wha wha, you said I was someone else", rants. I'm sure it's coming. I won't respond to it but I ask people to listen for the hate and the roots of it.
