The Hot Rod Power Tour was in my home town today. Dispite the rain, there was quite a good showing. However, I was the only Prowler there!! Which makes me wonder, how rare are Prowlers? |

In 2005 on Power Tour that started in Milwaukee we had 7 Prowlers make the entire Long Haul and a total of over 60 Prowlers join us for various legs. |

I didn't have a Prowler at the time, but was a long-hauler in '05 and saw quite a few Prowlers on the HRPT. They'll be coming through Memphis Thursday. I'll check it out. |

I was there working at the event! I saw no Prowlers but a ton of Vette's and SSR's. I left the Prowler at home beacuse of the rain but had it not been raining there would have been one at this event... |

WE met the tour at Sterling State park in Michigan Sunday The park in on lake Erie While were their the wind kicked up the waves on the lake were about 3 to 4 feet high and started to rain so we headed for home ( Toledo Ohio ) and got caught in the biggest rain storm ever. Weather service said we got 2in of rain in about a half hour. |

That was our POA friend Jim Kenney from Canada. I took my matching '97 with trailer and parked beside him. We had a great time visiting again! Jim was the ONLY long hauler this year. I only spent the day with them. |

DixieCat, It was a shame you missed Jim. A first class guy. He posted the link to the famous Prowler commercial for us. He got us into the D-C plant in Brampton when we were in Canada. The plant manager told us flat out, we did not want ANY tour groups. "Someone has a lot of pull". They were just in the infancy stage of the new Chargers. He got us into R & M (?), which is a top notch custom car shop. That was the best tour I have ever taken in my life. Unreal. But the best part is he is just another great Prowler owner. A genuinely good guy. |

Dixie, it's a real shame you go to an event like that and you aren't in your Prowler? Now that just doesn't make any sense. |

Actually, it does make some sense if you have more details. I was a longhauler on the HRPT in '05 and was meeting some people I did that tour with, so I took the car they would recognize. I didn't have the Prowler in '05.
quote: Sorry I missed him. Some of the HRPT participants took their cars to Beale Street to display them and take in the restaurants and bars. I looked for the Purple Cat there, but didn't see it. This message has been edited by DixieCat on 06-11-2007 at 10:52 PM |
