Hi all I am a newbie here. I always thought that the prowler was a great looking car and am considering getting one. I was hoping to find out what it is really like to drive the car on a daily basis. I live in Los Angeles so the weather is not a problem often, but I would not be able to garage the car at night |

Welcome and good luck on your search for a Prowler. Personally, I couldn't imagine having a Prowler and not keeping it in a garage. There's too much harsh stuff out there in the world - sun, birds, cats, nosey people. At least get a good cover! Just my .02... |

I have been using my Prowler as a dailyu driver for over five years - 135,000 miles. From a utility perspective, it's really no different than driving most any 2 door sports car - VERY limited storage capity but I can get a weeks worth of groceries on the floorboard and seat on the pasenger side (how much space do you need for 3 12 packs, some chips, bread, lunc meat, and a roll of paper towels?) It's a pain to go the gas pump 2 or 3 times a week bcause of the small gas tank. But getting to drive it everyday is just plain COOOOOL. I can't imagine not being able to drive it daily. When I travel for business and drive a rental I forget that nobody is going to talk to me at a gas station! I park mine outside when I am driving to out of town work locations and don't worry about it. However - I may have second thoughts about parking it outside all the time. As mentioned before, a good car cover would be a start. ------------------ |

If I get one I will certainly get a car cover. While I would not be able to use the garage at home at least I park underground at the office. I had read that the car was hard to drive ( sorta like sitting in a bathtub) and that the visibility was poor. are there many who actually drive it on a daily basis? most of the cars I have seen for sale have incredibly low mileage and have been treated as collectors items. |

The car is not hard to drive. It does take a little getting used to, however. Backing up seems to be a problem since the sides are not straight, hence the mirrors are at an angle and it looks like it will not fit into the garage. The nose is way far in front of you and low to the ground so you have to be careful of parking stop blocks. Other than that, not a single negative. So one or two points for negatives and about a million and a half positives. I drive mine fairly often but I keep it in a garage unless I am at a POA event. It is holding its value way better than almost any other car. A lot of fun to drive and totally cool looking. I guess you can put me down as a "yes" vote. |
