I received in the mail an offer from Heritage Warranty Insurance Company. It is an extended warranty offer. I called them for clarification on a few issues. They are not affiliated with DC. They have a list of DC customers that show when initial warranties expire and they solicit from this list. It seems to cover all items that are not normal wear and tear. Covers parts and labor. I didn't think to ask of references, # years in business or anything else on the background of the company. I'll do so IF I explore it further. They have several different plans depending on terms and mileage. The one that the rep recommended to me was for 6 years/60,000 miles for $977.00 with an "E-Z Pay Option" of 12 payments of $81.42. Has anyone else received an offer from this company? ------------------ |

I'm not sure if it's the same company or not, but I get those every year. They get your name from the list as you indicated. Then they hunt you down. Ask them to send you a sample warranty to read over BEFORE you buy the warranty, to see exactly what IS and IS NOT covered. They won't send it BEFORE you buy it. ANY reputable, honest company WILL send you a copy to look over BEFORE you buy. These guys will try to convince you that you get your money back if not happy, but will ONLY send the warranty to you to look over AFTER you buy. I would use caution and your own judgement on this one. |

Randy - in my opinion,,,,these alternative aftermarket extended warranty provider companies are total garbage. Here today,,,gone tomorrow. Email Bob Haisler Bob will get you the best price on a DC extended warranty. |

Randy: I got the same thing in the mail on Monday. It said the warranty on my 2002 Chrysler (never mentioned the model) had expired and offered to continue my coverage. Trouble is, I purchased the DC Maximum Care Extended Warranty that's good for another 5 years. I agree with Sir Alley Kat, toss it like I did. Kevin ------------------ |

OH! That's right, Kevin. I forgot... The last guy that called me on the extended warranty told me I had a 97 Plymouth but wanted to know what model it was. I told him that if he knows what I have, when the warranty expired on it, and knows my phone number, he should also know what model I have. He couldn't tell me. |
