Mike called just after they loaded up the two cars. The 11.65 first run was the fastest run of the day but he did have several more in the 11's. Laddie beat the Hiboy by .3 sec but the N20 in the Hiboy wouldn't activate. His bklue 3.8 stroker Kat ran in the mid 13's withouit the nitrous - just the motor itself. They will post pics and timeslips when they get home after the six hour drive to Houston. |

Good work Mike, as I said in another post I guessed correctly with my TQ in the 38 special and guessed wrong in the HiBoy, A real racer would understand. My 112.7 is still safe. 11.65 is flying. Just some more R&D with TQ's is in order. |

13.69 ???? That must from a REAL race car I guess. How does a TQ keep Nitrous from kicking in? |

Worked when I owned it. My TQ in the 3.8 was very loose and the My TQ was very tight in the HiBoy to be used with the NOS. R&D,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, |

Quote from Laddie on another thread: "In another run Mike ran against a Viper and blew it away with another 11: something run..." CJ - might be a good thread to print out and send over to CAAP. It will make any old Prowler line workers proud to know it was possible. CONGRATS MIKE |

quote: I know that the HiBoy would have easily pulled off a low 12 or maybe even into the elevens had the nitrous system been working. I know Gary C and RSI worked hard at building the car up and I as well as Gary C are quite disappointed that it didn't happen. The track canceled time trials early, so I didn't get a chance to troubleshoot the nitrous system and get the HiBoy back for another run. I checked the car out today and the the fuse for the secondary fuel pump blew and didn't allow the nitrous to function. We'll be going back to the track again soon, and we'll be looking for some great numbers from the HiBoy too! |

I hope the problem on the HiBoy is minor. It sure looks good in the pics with the new wheels on it. Also - How much time difference do you think the slicks made? OH yeah - can you ppease paint the stroker kat Black to match the hardtop! |

Unless it was a primary fuse for both sides of the N2O system it sounds like you're running a secondary fuel system fuel pressure safety switch and thankfully so, if the N2O had fired minus the right fuel supply you could have been into a new engine pronto. So you had more of a save than a failure. Good job. |
