I have some cash saved up and I have been keeping my eyes open but for 26K what can I get? I would like to get a 99, color really does not matter, I would like to have lower miles. I have found a few for 28K that had around 10k or less in miles, but I really need to keep the range at or below 26K. |

Try ebay. Perhaps there are Prowlers there that you can get for $26K or less. Maybe a 97 Prowler. ECurtis |

007........understand the need for staying at a certain price level, but it's likely that the lower mileage cars will be a bit more than you'd like. 10,000 miles isn't really that bad, depending on the year of the car. A 1997 with 10,000 miles obviously averages to 1,000 miles a year.......not much! ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

If it were me I would get the list of new Prowlers still available with no mileage and pick the desired color make a deal with a cash deposit and finance the rest and enjoy the warranty. Just a thought. |

Yellow 99 with 18,000 miles. Auction says Low Reserve will surprise you. Not as low miles as you were looking , but keep in mind a car can be driven too little. Good Luck This message has been edited by BeWare on 11-30-2005 at 05:38 PM |

Also keep in mind "Cash talks, BS walks." I bought my mint '99 Black with 580 miles for $27,500 cash. If the seller wants to get rid of it, he'll listen to offers. |

Keep in mind that the '97 models had a little less power than later models and the suspension was different. My advice is to take your time and figure out what color you really want and finance the balance between your savings and the final price you are able to work out. Also, before you buy, run a check of the VIN number to see if there were any problems with the particular Prowler. Good luck and don't forget to post here when you get your Prowler! |

Remember, you get what you pay for. I paid $27,500.00 for my 2000 that had 35K miles. It ran and looked perfect and I had no problems at all with it! Whereas I saw many owners on this site having many different problems with cars that had a lot less mileage than mine!Sitting in a garage year after year is still hard on a car. I don't think you will find a perfect one with less than 26K miles for that kind of money. I just sold mine for $27,500.00 and I had put another 5k miles on it. The dealer now wants $29,900.00 for it, and will get it, next spring. These are east coast coast prices, I see west coast prices are generally higher (better weather I guess). Good Luck, they are fantastic cars! I hated selling mine! |

Excellent price!!! If your cat was available last year...I would have probably bought your 97 instead of the one I now have! Too bad you're selling. I hate to see a good POA member decide to sell their cat. Brian |

My wife and I seperated and it is too hard to keep this car on my salary alone. If it was not for that I would never consider selling this car, it has been the most fun car to drive I have ever owned. You cannot drive one of these cars anywhere without getting smiles and waves, just a blast to have. I would love to have been able to put in the new 425 HP HEMI and it is actually less expensive than a regular hemi over the counter. Barry |
