Now that we know that the original wheels were defective, does anybody know if the factory is replacing them with better quality or we'll be back replacing them once again? Has anyone that faithfully maintained theirs still had a problem with peeling?

Manny, I had one front and one rear replaced about 3 years ago and have not had a problem with the other two originals or the two replacements. I can't speak for the others.

Manny,

had my left rear replaced due to peeling. The dealer replaced my rim without giving me any trouble. My cat is 2002 that I bought back in May and by July the chrome started to come off. As of this point, the other three seem to be intact, then again, I only drove my car in the summer & some of the fall in 2002.

I have had 5 replaced over 2-1/2 years (fifth was bent, not a chrome reoccurrence). As of last fall, they were all intact. I will be giving them a THOROUGH inspection soon since the warranty will be up very shortly.

I was just talking to my dealer about my rims. I'm having them replace and asked if the new ones are better. I was told that they are using a new supplier. Never did get an answer if they are better or not.. lol

CJ,
Can you find out if the wheel supplier changed though out the years.
Is it still American Racing ?

Any truth to Chrysler having better quality control ?

Thanks,
Duane

I have two starting to peel also.... I have had my Kat for about a year now... I bought it new, but it sat in the showroom for over a year before I bought it. So the rims are about 2 1/2 years old....
