Does (or) did Plymouth come out with a "Prowler" stereo system that plays MP3's that I can upgrade my existing stereo to? Sorry for the pathetic question. |

Try this one. adds right on to your stock radio and you can put a large hd in it and never have to listen to the radio again. |

This thing looks awesome - has anyone tried this. Up to 120GB hard drive holding up to 2400 CDs. Wow. I might have to get one of these toys. |

I have an older version of that. It works great! it just slides into your computer or you can use a usb port to upload songs. I have an a 60 gig hd in mine and like 2500 songs and im less than half full. Im looking into getting the new version and mounting it where the cd changer is. the best part is you dont have to keep cds in the car. if someone breaks into your car your only out the unit. not thousands of dollars in cds. |

Hollywood, How did you hook this up. I heard you use a FM modulator which I am sure would impact sound quality - or is there a way to wire it right in to existing stereo |

Hollywood- Yea, I’m checking them out on Ebay now. I was either looking at the 40 or 60 gig'er due to I will never have that many songs to fill that much room. Let me know if you decide to getting rid of yours, I would rather buy from you then a non-Prowler’ite |

quote:the modulator plugs into your antenna input on the back of your radio. It might not be cd quality but its pretty close. But if you have an after market radio that has rca inputs you can use those and it should be cd quality. |

quote: you can put any size hd in it. so get the cheapest one and get yourself a hd somewhere else, if it saves you money. Or sell that hg. when you convert cds into mp3s, you can change the quality to 93 (cds are 128) and you can fit more songs/cds on the same size hd. you cant really tell the difference between bitrates of 93 and 128. |

There are some best buys and other stores that do carry these mp3 players. |
