Please join me in welcoming new member purenrg625. Met him last night at the Burger King car show in Clearwater. He has a 2001 silver that he recently bought in south Florida. All members that have had problems with their chrome wheels flaking please give him words of wisdom. The dealer is willing to replace his front wheels, but not his rear. They are really in bad shape. Please tell him your success stories, and give him some ammunition. Thanks, Kendra |

625...........welcome to the POA and congratulations on your new Prowler! What reason did the dealer give for not willing to replace all four wheels? I thought they were all covered by warranty? Try calling the DaimlerChrysler Customer Center and file a complaint with them and see if they can help you with the dealer. Their number is 800.992.1997. Good Luck! ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

625, welcome to POA If the dealer willing to replace the front wheels, why not the rear wheels??? As for me, I have always mentions that I am a POA active member with over 1600 members and sometimes, it has helped me with some of my situations. Just keep your head up and keep on prowling. ------------------ |

Welcome to the club, I've had a couple sets replaced that were in OK shape still, just not perfect. For 40K I want perfect. |

Thank you for the warm welcome!! The reason the dealership is giving me for not replacing the rears is because they are only flaking on the inside. The fronts are pitted on the outside and flaking on the inside. The car only has 3000 miles and the dealer says that the flaking on the inside is "acceptable" but that the pitting on the outside is covered. I am trying to stay nice until I get the front ones in and not rock the boat too much then go back. Thank you for all of your suggestions!! |
