Thanks all. Yes JD, The Prowler is the Trailer Shimmer done in cotton candy. The Cat is a Tail Light Shimmer also done in cotton candy. The pictures do not do them justice. They appear flat in the pictures, but both are raised. |

Those Shimmers do come in handy... The hood pad looks great too. I have been working on a similar mod with the hood pad... I imagine you removed it to work on it... How many clips did you break? Has any one found chrome replacement caps for the oil fill, power steering, brake fluid, dip stick, and radiator caps??? WildBill |

No Wildbill, I did it the hard way laying on my back on top of the engine. |

Rich- Looks great. I did mine with the silver/chrome flake deco marker. Back breaking work though. Worth every hour. ------------------ |

WOW! Good job Rich!! It is definitely worth the effort! If I may, I'd like to be included in the "Crazy people painting the inside of the hood" crowd!! LOL Though I did not lay on my back.....I removed the whole liner...I did end up with a lung infection from paint fumes! (Stupid Tony!!!) I did paint in a well ventilated area...just dumb luck. Almost all better now. I included one picture of the new side splitters too. While I know this is the Prowler site, I figured this post wasn't so much about the cars....more about how crazy we are!! LOL ------------------ |

Al, yes I removed the original and had it painted. Same guy who painted my hood. He already had the color mixed so I just it off and took it to him. Had it back in two days and its a perfect match. Weather was nasty so I let it dry in the house for a week before I reinstalled it. Had him paint the bolts too. Very easy to remove and install. Did some house cleaning on hoses and such while it was off. He also clear coated it. Notice how the braces reflect in the paint. Tony the snake looks awesome. Nice job!
