Yes, folks, you heard it here first, and dispite any "sassy" remarks you may hear to the contrary ... '05 will see the last Prowler be built. So, if you look at the total run, '97, '99, '00. '01, 02, '03, '04 and '05 ... that makes 8 years, or 8 lives in the case of our beloved Kat. Some posts have been accurate ... no "howling" times ahead for this retro-rod, but a fond farewell that we have all anticipated IS in store ... for those that have longed to "shift" into high gear and enjoy a gr-"8" car ... lots in store and more to come in the saga of the Plymouth-Chrysler Prowler ... Just staay tuned. |

That would be super if it went to 05...hope it goes to 06, that way it would be 9 lives, lets all have a "ray" of hope. Hey, don't 'RAYovac' batteries have 9 lives... |

I have no sources, or no inside info but I highly doubt that prediction Ray. As much as I would like to own a stick V8 Kat I can't afford it and personally I think it would then really de-value our V6. Who would want to buy a V6 when they could have a V8. Our cars value would drop like a stone. I just don't see DC keeping a car like this in production when they don't advertise it, don't (supposedly) make money on it, and they have other pet projects ready to launch (Crossfire) JMO ------------------ |

If I remember correctly, I believe I read somewhere that the Prowler does not meet 2003 impact standards. If this is correct, then I would find it interesting that a company would upgrade a product that they lose money on and are having a hard time selling. Added all up: 1) It doesn't meet 2003 standards, 2) they lose money on them, 3) no advertising, 4) they are not selling well, and 5) They may need more room for 2003 Viper production... my guess would be 2002 is the end. ------------------ • MTD Prowler Intake System 2.1 With EGR Bypass Kit Future Mods: This message has been edited by William Gallagher on 12-12-2001 at 10:51 PM |

Ray, I thought you were the torch bearer against people posting rumors and inuendo and dropping hints about unnamed sources. Have you changed your stripes? ------------------ |

So Ray..... With all the apparent buzz that the Candy Red will be the LAST Prowler, where did you get your info. Are you still standing by your story that the Prowler will be produced through 05??? Alex ------------------ |

Alex ... Get a life and find a new car to slobber all over and board to jump up and down on ... how's that for a cat-got-tongue? People take things way too seriously, and the Prolwer has been one of them. I tried to add a little "side humor" to an other wise obvious conclussion and only a few took up on it (kudos Bobcat & CJ) ... to the rest ... Whateverrrrr ... Hoard them, buy and sell them, do what ever it is that makes YOU happy with the Prowler, but most of all, drive 'em ... after all THAT is what Plymouth built them for!! Caio fellow Kat Lovers ... it's been fun .. maybe see you all (and Sassy too if she/he shows up) at the final fairwell tour that CJ will coordinate for 2/15/02 !! |

Well Ray, all I can say is Wow. Blast me for asking about your comments about the life of the Prowler??? I guess you won't be getting me a Christmas gift but thats ok. I'll take your advice and try to "Get a Life", thanks. I am sorry my comment "Kat got UR Tongue" got you so riled up. I too was trying to have some fun with your thread and never meant any harm. At any rate have a Happy Holiday season. Alex ------------------ |
