Ok, where ya gonna be? I'm sure Alley Cat will show up here to add more info but we usually attend a small car show on Friday nites in Chandler/Gilbert area. We can give you directions. There's also a weekly car show at the Scottsdale Pavilions on Saturday nite. I can't do anything Thurs nite since the World Series gets my undivided attention but I'm sure you guys can survive without me...lol. Looking forward to meeting you! |

Hi Debbie!! Will be staying with my brother near Central and Indian School. My uncle lives near 32nd St. & Thunderbird and will spend time there too. Friday night would be best for me. Would really like to meet you and AC. I'm originally from Phx. Thought maybe we could all meet for dinner Friday night somewhere. Car show sounds great, but will have to play it by ear (relatives think I'm coming to see them!! :{> ). My cell# is 702-860-8189. We should get to town by noon if not earlier tomorrow (Thur). Leaving Sat. by about noon. Quick trip this time... MadMikey ------------------ |

MadMikey - friday eve car show - 6:30pm to 9:00pm in Gilbert, Az. Have relatives get you directions to 101 south, take it to the Warner Road exit, get off 101, then turn left (east) on Warner to the corner of Cooper Road (five miles). Northwest corner of Cooper and Warner, shopping center, across the street from a Fry's Grocery store. Make it if you can............. Can't stay until saturday evening??? Scottsdale Pavillions car show is the BEST weekly show in the country! Angell - what is this BS??? Mark brought a tv saturday, and you didn't show??? We all watched the game at the car show.......and missed you there! Next June, your B/D party goes to ChuckyCheese, instead of Mexican food!!! ------------------ |

Catwoman - glad to see you still have some fire in you (after two D-Back losses) We didn't ignore you last friday night, your group was sitting in chairs and laughing too hard, and then wouldn't tell us three musketeers what was so funny! Us? or Me? With Dale and Sondra leading the charge over there, must have been about me........................................I get NO respect!

Hey MM - It was great to meet you and talk kats and shop I am glad to hear the AZ crew will be meeting you! Debbie will be nice to you - I don't know about AC... he can be a little rough sometimes BTW - the final count on film is 3 rolls. I have dropped them off and should have them up on a site by the end of next week. That blue kat at SEMA was AWESOME - it was BEAUTIFUL I went by the Mopar section several times and one time I was walking by, one of the employees opened the hood and you could see the where it used to be purple LOL. They changed the shifter to the newer look and it appears the A-Arms were changed to the newer ones too. I only saw one other kat on display there. It was a red one and they were using it to display wheel alignment tools. Bumped into CJ there - it was great to meet her. I met Bob too but didn't get to talk with him much because he was very busy. Also got to meet Bob Wyman at the Paxton booth - nice to chat with you Bob For Hot Wheel fans you will be glad to hear that the Twin Mill (yes one of the original Hot Wheels from 1968) is alive and runs BTW - it is very LOUD - they started it up at the show. This is the first Hot Wheel to make it to 1:1 scale - word is they will be doing more HWs (not the same one but different ones). I was in heaven there - so many cars - it was just plain AWESOME Mike K - if you read this - I think we should have someone go from the POA each year and represent us.. hmmm - I will volunteer ------------------ This message has been edited by CWatsonJr on 11-02-2001 at 01:57 AM |

Maybe we should plan to have a POA event during SEMA one year!?! I have only been to SEMA once and being in the trade business I can truthfully say that other than maybe the Detroit Auto Show, SEMA is about the only trade show that doesn't feel like I am working and I could stay for days. Cliff - I will look forward to seeing the post of photos. Marty ------------------ |

MadMikey - Sorry you couldn't make the local car show! Turnout was 156 cars - beautiful evening - 8 Prowler owners present - and one bow-tie (who are you?) drove thru and didn't stop....................................Next time. Battle plans were made, and Debbie Angell goes on the record and says the D-Backs will WIN it all!!! |

Hey AC... As you know i didn't make the car show. Things kinda got turned around. Some friends of my brother were killed in an accident at 24th St. and Thomas... couple cars chasing each other at voer 100 mpph... lost control and one hit them killing whole family. I usually go to Phx a couple times a year so next trip I will definitely make it a point to meet up with you and Debbie. MadMikey ------------------ |

CJ - chopped liver... NOWAY!!!!!!! You are so busy doing "official" stuff didn't think you would want another task (nawwww... didn't have anything to do with me wanting to go back next year REAL BAD) I would have loved to hear that PT V/10 !!!! Did you hear the Hot Wheel's Twin Mill when they fired that up? Dual V-8s - it was very loud They said that the engines deliver somewhere around 1200 HP to the rear wheels on that thing... what a car. ------------------ |

Cliff.......glad to hear I'm not chopped liver! I took enough ribbing all week from the guys on the judging team. Never mind the fact that they asked me to come back this year. I was the only woman on the team......and the shortest as I was constantly reminded! I was subjected to a new one, however, that I hadn't heard before. On Wed. we had to go back out on the floor to look at the "finalist" component applications that had been chosen by the other teams, so that we could finalize our selections for the awards. One of the items was a side step on a Wrangler that was hinged so that it rotated up towards the body when not in use. You had to step on it to retract it downward for use, either getting in or out of the vehicle. Anyway, they all decided that I needed to be the one to do the testing since I was the only one short enough that would need this item in the first place. However, they termed it that I was "inseam challenged"! Another gentleman that I knew by phone but had not met in person indicated to someone else that he expected me to be "taller"! I guess it was the week for short jokes. And, yes, I heard the "Twin Mill" and yes, it was loud! Did you notice the beautiful silver paint on the "Ramrod" truck by Performance West? That is what the silver on the Prowler should have been. I was told by the guy that did the truck for Bob that it is not a full "travel" paint like the chromealusion paints. It was gorgeous and it was the first time this paint had been used. |
