Had a rough business trip to Atlanta this week. Weather there was bad the whole time. On overcrowded flight back home we circled over Houston only to be told that due to bad weather and low fuel they were diverting us to Laffaette (What? the airport was in site). So there we were on the tarmac waiting for fuel. No a/c. Jumbo jets stacked up all around us (they diverted 15 planes). One guy on another jet had a heat stroke. It was miserable. Then I saw a black prowler driving through the airport area and my spirits were lifted. It started a discussion with 8-10 people around me. The time now passed quickly (hot but, quickly) All in all, a flight that should have had me home by 5:30, got me home at 11:30 but, have fond memories of talking about the prowler. These funny cars really lift ones spirits at the oddest times. ------------------ |
