I've only had my Prowler for about a year now. I put new Continental rubber all around because the originals had some dry rot. I also found a set of new original prowler chrome wheels to put on the car at the same time because my wheels were peeling. The shop moved the original Tire Pressure Sensors over to the new wheels.

On to the problem. When the shop filled them - the TPS was working great. We noticed however that the shop had filled the wheels over what was mentioned on the car panel as the recommended PSI. So, we lowered the PSI on all 4 tires. Now, first thing when I drive, the low tire light goes on. Sometimes when the tires warm up, the light will go off, but not always.

Is there a recommended PSI that should be used that is different from what is on the Car panel?
Is there a way to tell which of the 4 tires is causing the low tire light to go off?
Other suggestions on how to handle it? I don't really love the idea of buying a complete new TPS package, but I may have no choice. Any input from other prowler experts?

My 01 says 28 PSI all tires. It only takes 1 tire for light to come on. If it is going out after tires warm up driving, at least one is low. What pressure are you using? Are you sure your gauge is good? Try putting just 1-2 more pounds in each tire.

Many many fixes....
after market kit ....
remove dash and then module and light..
buy the new kit from P Store cheaper than old one and replace the module and the sensors.
There is a battery inside the sensor.
usually 10 year life span.

My 1999 says 28 PSI Front and 32 PSI Rear.

What year Prowler do you have, the 2002 uses different sensors and module in the dash?

Try increasing the pressure a little in all the tires and do a test drive, then lower them one at a time to the correct pressure. By the process of elimination you might be able to figure it out. Just a thought.

Disconnect the low tire pressure light and periodicaly check your tire pressures with a tire pressure guage. No need to always know if tire pressure is perfect.
