Hemi Prowler to represent Mopar at Philly Intl autoshow 2/8-2/16

Hello just received some great news the Hemi Prowler was chosen as just 1 or 6 cars across the whole region and country to represent all of Mopar in a special Mopar vs Ford exhibit at the Philly international auto show.

This is a such a honor as Philly is my home time and the Philly car show was the first place that I ever saw a prowler back in 1997!

The Philly Auto Show runs from February 8-16, 2014 at the Philadelphia Convention Center.

If your in the area pleas be sure to come out and vote for Prowlers and team Mopar! Please post up of you may stop by!!

I will be there on the weekend but the car all week.

Event info
As part of the contest at the auto show, February 8-16 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, local Ford and Mopar clubs will display their best cars for show goers to experience and evaluate. The contest will take place in rooms 201 and 204, located on the bridge between the Main Exhibit Hall and the Grand Hall. As part of each display, more than a dozen cars will be on hand and enthusiasts can vote for their favorite piece of American muscle onsite and in person via conveniently located kiosks. On the Ford side, expect to see Mustangs, Torinos, Cougars, Fairlanes, Galaxies and more. For Mopar fans, anticipated cars include Barracudas, Challengers, Daytonas, Chargers and more. After days of examination and voting, the results will be tabulated at the conclusion of the event. The brand with the most votes will be declared the winner. Each group is competing for bragging rights and for the ability to say that their brand, be it Ford or Mopar, is better than the other. Ford is seeking to retain its crown, having its Mustang easily defeat GM’s Camaro in 2013."

Honestly thanks everyone for all of your feedback support and comments, though all the build twists and turns everyone here was so supportive!! This little risky dream, in the end has opened many new doors. I go into these events always with my Prowler hat on. It's a honor to be choosen to represent all of Mopar and being a Prowler. I use every opportunity to spread the Prowler story, educate everyone on our great car. The hemi just opens the door.

Now Im working on the logistics, it is Feb, winter, a good 2 hour drive and 200 miles round trip. As pretty and custom, as she looks (being a common man's kat) we actually drive no trailer queen here.

Driving to the show is as fun as the show its self. Being Feb you never know so we found a detailer in Philly near the convention center to give us a clean up once we get there.

Will be Throwing the bra, hoping no snow and hitting the road!! Should be great!

We made a similar winter drive to Philly last year for the NE rod and custom car show but this one is way bigger! http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/021221.html

Here goes a pict our winter car show driving attire. Taken right here close by in North jersey. The home of this years chilly Super Bowl!!

My job in the world financial center is right across the river next to the world trade!

Hope some of the folks in the region may stop on by

The official event page is up with the show cars selected. Kind of cool we are the first car on the list!
http://www.carlisleevents.com/carlisle-events/carlisle-philadelphia-auto/default.aspx

Honestly Team Ford is looking pretty strong! Looks like mostly old school Mopars l! Either way with a prowler on board we will give them a good show!

Trey, I know you DRIVE your car, but you might want to try and find someone close with an enclosed trailer JUST IN CASE, the weather is going to be bad. With all that power would be ashame to spin out driving it in the snow or ice. And it might not be you but the idiots around you.

If I were close I would haul it for you.

Your right wildcat. Will play it by ear as it gets closer. If it's snow even a truck and trailer is dangerous to haul. You can best believe we will be very careful and not be too risky.

We discovered and delivered on this option below last year for Chrysler nationals. So its in our back pocket. Our rule of thumb is around 125+ Miles we look trailer. Philly is not to bad. If it's bad snow I wouldn't even risk it either way. They have a load in 2 days prior on wed and thrus if bad weather.

6.1 Hemi prowler 10am 1/25/14

The essence of a car starts with its design. Our dream started with a great one and 12 years later we customized it to take the next level. Some before and after. What do u think?

Update: This is pretty hard to believe but over 25,715 people viewed this picture today on Facebook. www.facebook.com/hemiprowler
I have never seen anything like this before!
I just posted it and it went global and viral very cool! normally we only get 150-200 views! I guess a cool picture and tell an entire story!

Trey, glad to see you have an enclosed trailer to get it to the show safe and CLEAN

Last weeks OLD CAR WEEKLY had a short clip on the showdown. Didn't list any of the cars. Would have been cool if they had.

Have fun!!!

Wildcat honestly thanks for the advise. Your post and feedback got me thinking then I did a search for an enclosed hauler to take her down.
You were right. This guy was cool. Over 250,000 people come to the show
Want to leave them all a lasting prowler impression!

I grew up in this area and the Philly auto show back in 1997 fresh out of college was the first place I ever saw a prowler in person. Being Wet behind the ears, it was far from a dream.3 years later I saved up all of my extra money and found one from Columbus oh and brought her home

Made this post on POA in the scrapbook
http://www.prowleronline.com/scrapbook/newscrapview.php?id=117

At the time couldn't even afford or had a garage so went the costco route. Wow how far we have come but a prowler guy from the beginning!

The True hollywood story! Behind today's glitz and glamour!

Car wax clean and polish complete!

While At the car wash a rich person offered us 100k in cash for the Hemi Prowler. I said no way. Wash, clay, compound and wax. Swirls are gone

Now we are ready for the big Philly show! Shine and Prowl on!

Just have to burn off 1/4 tank of gas to meet show fire requirements and good to go for the wed load in!

My car was at the car wash for 2 days It was very busy with the salt.
when I went back today everyone was stopping, taking pictures with it asking questions etc. The owner of the shop told me this morning a guy in a Benz said he would pay 100k cash for the car right now.

No money could take away the fun. I didn't wait 16 months and 13 years of ownership to trade her in. It's staying with me. This is 1 of 1. Even the richest man in the world could not just pick up the phone and order one.
I honestly after all I have been through since this pict I consider my self very lucky. Many have tried and failed this is no easy cake walk project and alot of risk dedication and effort to pull it off!

Come along way! Not too many people would take there perfectly running showroom condition personal car like this and roll the dice to follow a dream that was not guaranteed
