Drove the car in to work this morning, it's a beautiful day in CT! It's 18 miles of mostly 30-40 mph driving with highway speeds the last three miles and everything went great, all the gauges read perfectly and the car drove and tracked straight as an arrow! The only negatives were the speaker(s) had some crackling (will check to pinpoint which) and what sounded like the rear deck release area had a jingle or rattle near the release lever. Any thoughts from this expert community of owners would be much appreciated! P.S. When I stopped to p/u the paper an older (75ish) woman was playing lotto in front of me in line, she exited and when I did I found her looking at the car. She said WOWWWWW that is beautiful but not for an old lady like me to which I replied "sure it is would you like a ride"? She declined but smiled ear to ear, I believe it made her day!!! Can't help with the rattle, but here is some info on replacing the speaker when you find out which one blew out on ya. http://www.zianet.com/SLlover/page60ab.html Glad you are enjoying the car.

You beat me to the rattle fix. Not certain what you mean by guide pics tho. On either side are some rubber bumpers. A turn in or out adjusts the tension on your decklid to remove the rattles. As the threads are quite large it doesn't take much to move them in or out a little. Let the fun begin! You can also do a search by me (or Midnight Son i think)on speakers. We've done some mods to pumpkin's install that might help with the newer speakers and install tips. If that doesn't find it, try a search by me on pigtail. quote: On the deck lid there is one chrome "pin" on either side, I assume they put those there as a guide to be sure the lid is closing correctly, they slide into a rubber opening! That is what was loose. |
