not in Canada, but I have a cytech lift. It says it is made in USA and cost over $3,000. Now there are several made in china and are less than $2,000 for one that looks about the same. Which is better? I don't know since most everything you buy in the USA today has made in china on it.

I might be buying another lift and will buy it from Greg Smith equipment, it is about $1,800, is longer, wider and lifts higher, then I will be able to compare side by side.

My son bought one from a dealership that went out of business. The guys who erected it said he got the best one made but I don't know the name of it.

as far as installing, the 4 post lift is fairly easy to assemble with hand tools and a few strong guys to move the ramps.

Dave Mills said it took him about 4 hours to assemble his.

My dad and I installed my doublepark twice (disassembled once). Not a problem. The ramp with the cylinder is the heaviest piece and takes two (three is better) to handle. They are well made. Not the cheapest I have seen though. You may want to see if there is enough interest in a group purchase. You would need to sell between 5-10 to get a group rate. I know someone who may be interested. Now you need to find 3-8 more.

I bought a Backyard Buddy 4-post lift. They are made in Ohio. This lift, I believe, is superior to some I have seen on the market. Their website is www.backyardbuddy.com. They have a video comparison you might want to look at to compare theirs against some other types. The other comments are right on about the weight of the ramps. There were just two of us who put it together from the kit because I got the idea to use hydraulic engine lift that was rented locally for about $35.00 US. We used 4 tie-down nylon webbing straps cinched snugly to pick the ramp off the driveway and rolled it into the garage. If I recall, the weight of each ramp on this lift weighed 700 lbs. Worked like a charm!

The engine lift also allow for minute height alterations when securing it with the bolts and washers. Having 4-6 guys lifting at the right angle could have jeopardized everyone's back muscles.

I have a minor issue with the Backyard Buddy lift but I think it's fixable. I'd buy it again, no question.
Good luck!
