![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I believe I have a deceased rodent of some variety lodged in my heat/ac ducts, possibly close to the fan. What is the most expedient method for inspection & retrieval? Suggestions / encouragement most appreciated. Steve.in.Roanoke |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Maybe start with removing the top of the dash section,,,and look around after it is off. Hopefully,,you'll be able to find and remove it without further disassembly of parts? Dash top pops and pulls off,,,,,,,,do a search for instructions/how to. Pumpkin's website usually has some excellent examples and directions................ |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The easiest way is to remove the blower - just remove the 3 screws in the bottom of the blower housing (under the glove box). With the blower removed, you can access much of the ductwork. On the way back from Rt 66, my blower started vibrating a little. Turns out there was a mouse nest inside - it must have been there since I bought the car 2 years ago. Have Fun! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Remove the blower, he is probably in there, that is where my nest was, didn't seem that he could get any further into the car. cstall is right, 3 screws and it drops out, a real easy check. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I had a mouse problem about 5 years ago. I used the glue traps and caught every last one of them. Maybe 6 or so. The only time I ever had a mouse problem and I didn't think it would ever end. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Update. Pulled the fan housing & squirrel cage out Sat. removing the three screws. Squirrel cage was pretty much at capacity with insulation & leaves. Removed all & vacuumed up into duct area. Reassembled. Still have a lingering 'odor'. Suggestion? Many thanks for the helpful directions in addressing my 3-R's. Steve |
