okay i removed my bumpers to get them painted, but since I did that I have been noticing this creek coming from the back of the car when I am driving and when I go over bumps. Has anyone had this problem before? Is is driving me crazy.

It may not be from the back of the car. A lot of us had creaking noises and it was from the hood hinge area. Also the panels torque and rub and cause that creak.

I only noticed this noise when I took the bumpers off on the back. Also when I get in or out of the car I can hear it, it is mocking me.

Tighten all of the bolts in the rear suspension. This will usually have to be done every six months or so. Both of my Prowlers have had this problem and this should remedy it.

...if the Kat is a 99, it could be one of the early "squeakers"....some had bad tie rod ends....mine used to sound like it was splitting in half on any small incline or change of planes....

I am almost certain that what you are hearing is that the bolts and / or nuts are loose on the two braces that run at an angle from underneath the transaxle to the frame just underneath the body tub.

This is what the braces look like.
