After years of coveting Prowlers I sold my 98 Corvette and finally settled on an orange 2001 kat which I picked up last Saturday. Needless to say, I absolutely love it and put nearly 300 miles on it over the last few days.

The sad part is I woke up this morning to the sound of heavy equipment on the road in front of my house. They were putting down a heavy coat of liquid asphalt which they promptly covered with a thick coat of pea sized crushed stone.

I can't imagine what this concoction would do to the side of my mudflapless car so it'll be spending the forseeable future in my garage and driveway.

Congrats on the new Kat!

The roadwork may be a blessing. While the Prowler is in the garage and driveway for a few days, you can detail it, order the flaps and put them on, do the ceramic brakes, etc.

Congrats again!

Why wouldn't we believe it?? Congratulations on your new cat. That's a shame about the road, but get some mudflaps and drive slow......

Same happened to me while returning from work, so I had to get through the gravel to park the cat in the garage. Two miles of driving 10mph got me about 23495 paint chips along the side of the car!

Have not been on any red clay roads in Georgia though I am sure there are some. The second only applies to some of the roads in Kentucky. Unfortunately I did find some of them.
