I-Scream is a a Prowler Mule which is owned by Daimler/Chrysler. It has been used as a research and test vehicle. It started life as a 99 yellow. It cannot be sold to the general public because of liablity issues for DC, because of the numerous mods that have been made to the car. The car will eventually be crushed. Jerry says he figures at this point in time its probably on the eigth of its nine lives. |

I'm with you, Ray. I don't recall seeing any white Prowlers at the Dells.... I could swear the Kat parked next to my stunning Inca Gold was yellow.......

I asked Marsha (Jerry's wife) about it and I think she told me it was yellow, then orange and finally white. Tammy |

Prowler want-A-be..........not necessary to email or pm me... it's an interesting question that other people might want to know. The I Scream car started out as a yellow 1999 pilot, then was painted orange(with black top), then changed to a white top and then white with the blue top. Here is a rare picture of the car when it was orange with a white top. |

And notice that the lights had the silver reflectors there ... soooo ... it might be a good thread to start on HOW the inside lights did get painted white (or were they manufactured that way 'special' from the vendor) when it went from orange/white (not a good combo IMO) to the white/blue??? Thanks CJ |

quote: One of my many habits that drives Carol up the wall is leaving the turn signals on (if they don't cancel). In the Prowler, it's even worse. This would be a tough thing to continue if I could incorporate the turn signals into the rear view mirrors. I posted a thread some time back requesting help on how I could do this, but no one took the request serious............ Then again, no one ever takes me serious. Nor should they........... SAVE "I SCREAM" FROM "MELTDOWN" Having followed I Scream 456 kms from the Dells to Michigan and having said our good-byes at the last service station Richard and I felt "crushed" when we turned left to go north on hwy 117. I Scream faded in the distance knowing we may never see her again. Being the last of 300 pilot cars to be crushed she deserves better! We feel she should be put into the Smithsonian institute or possibly in the Science and Tech museum here in Ottawa with other vintage and special interest cars there on display. Richard has put out a call to the curator at the museum. If you feel the same perhaps a petition to Chrysler can be set up to save "I Scream" from her crushing destiny. Any other ideas? |

As the official Curator of the Krehel - Prowler Museum in Houston, Texas [not to be confused with the curator of the Smithsonian institute or the Science and Tech museum in Ottawa],,,,I purpose the ISCREAM PROWLER be allocated to the POA'S museum for preservation, before ever being crushed. Lots of legal problems, I understand, but that could be worked out. ------------------ Call 911 - there is a Prowler in my garage....
