OK, so I'm still not into a Prowler because I can't seem to sell a high end guitar in today's economy. But I'm trying to be optimistic so here is my question... The Prowler passenger seat does not have the same height adjustment as the drivers seat. My girlfriend is, uh, vertically challenged (5'2"). She went with me on my test drive and she didn't like the low seat position and the 'bucket hugging' feel of the seat. I should mention that she has some back surgery in her past so her comfort is a valid factor. I've told her we can get orthopedic back rests or pillows to offset the 'bucket' feel. But can you raise the passenger seat? A mechanic buddy of mine says we might be able to put some bushings in, add longer bolts, and raise it up. I have no idea how easy or difficult that might actually be. Here is a picture of some Prowler seats on Ebay and you can see how much higher the drivers seat is. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=595729733&r=0&t=0 I should mention, she didn't mind at all driving the kat. You guys have any thoughts, comments? Thanks. Mike |

Expect her to want to drive it more then you do I'm sure the seat position can be changed... my girl is 5' and never mentioned anything bad about the seat. ------------------ |

Mike, Unfortunately, the passenger seat in the Prowler is not height adjustable as is the driver seat. I am 5' and have no problem driving my cat with the seat adjusted. I have actually only ridden twice in my cat as a passenger and it certainly does sit lower! I also have major back problems, but I find the seats very comfortable.....more so than any of my other cars! Perhaps a cushion or folded blanket would give her a little more height? ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |
