No, actually, they are brothers. Julius and Caesar. They come from Singapore, where they were found a number of years ago. They are also called the "Drain Cats of Singapore" because they lived on the streets. They were brought to this country and were bred by a lady who resides in CA. There is now a network of breeders. I waited a year to get them. They are the smallest of the cat breed. Julius is about 8 lbs. and Casesar is about 7. They are extremely affectionate and are an "in-your-face" type of cat. Their personalities stay kitten-like all their lives. They are very playful. Hardly shed. They have very short, velvety fur. Only allowed to be the color you see, with the cheetah markings on their face and legs. ------------------ |

Joe, I have had a Bangel cat for four years now. Being so close to the African Spotted Lepard, he wants to do nothing but go into the woods and kill little animals. He is not at all affectionate and is the worst $600 I ever spent. His is one gooood looking animal, however. I hope you have better luck with yours. |

Tom...... Wow! Is that typical of the Bengal Cat breed? That really surprised me. I had actually considered one, because they are so beautiful! Very striking. However, I would not want a cat that was like that! I chose the Singapuras, however, because of their extremely affectionate nature. If you want a cat that is people-friendly and loving........ the Singapura is it!!! ------------------ |

Tom, Thanks for your input, please email me your story. I put a deposit down on a $1000. male. await a delivery date. Was told this to be a F5, generation 5 of wild cat, and they make great house pet. Hmmmm, looking for an exotic "prowler" cat to be able to ride with me in the Kat. Yes, they would be fixed, and de-clawed. Hmmm, any other suggestions for a big, tame cat to get to ride in the prowler??? |
