Hey George... I wish! I've been to Turlock (up by Modesto) once since Wed, San Diego twice, and now driving to Turlock again today. Work calls and it is just starting, when I'm working full out I'm much busier! If you guys come out to Van Nuys for that show... maybe stop in and say hello that night? The 21st... my antique bike guys are comandering me for our run, but we'll be here for a BBQ that night... I'd LOVE to have the Prowler guys pop on over for that BBQ and some fun after wards... or if you want to have a run with us too? ------------------ |

At my house on the 1st of April after our Antique bike run... all the Prowler guys are invited to attend the run and BBQ... I just need to know your coming or not. I'm in the Valencia / Magic Mountain area in Canyon Country, right off the 14 freeway and Sand Canyon. I'm heading to the car show in a few in Berdoo to meet up with George, Larry and the boys. The cell is 661-645-2380 if you want to hook up. ------------------ |

What time does the bike run start? Send me an email with the specifics (I am very close - 30 mins or so) and let me know if I can bring anything for the BBQ (it has to fit in the prowler hah). ------------------ |

Hey... I would never offer to show someone 1st... they gotta ask for that, and I still might not. Anyhow, that area of my life has little to do with Prowlers or antique bikes. Not sure on the run times... I'll post more as soon as I know. ------------------ |

Todd, give us an update on the orange. Was there any major problems? ------------------ |

The Orange is still in the body shop, two months later. I finally told the local service manager to set me up with a Chrysler buy out plan with low interest on the 3 Kats and let me buy anything at the same interest from DC in the next two years and they can take all the time they want to fix it. DC came back with a "it's just a sealant separation" but I was, well, ok, so why are all the doors out, why does the windshield move and squeek by hand, and why does it have creaks and growns when you drive (not to mention the severe top leak on the drivers side)... I'm off the the local dealer today to find out what's happening. ------------------ |

Todd, They have had the orange for 2 months now and still are not sure what to do about it? Or are they trying to say there is no problem with it? Bummer to be making payments, and not have it to drive. Hope all works out OK for you. By the way, you need to set aside some time for Crazy Horse, did not see your name on the list. I think you can pick up some side jobs on the way, I hear Larry, Ed and Gary are going to be customers of yours, said they wanted a group rate. ------------------ |

Jim S, if this is the Ed you are referring to, you are right, I will probably get a tattoo right after I get my cell phone so I can talk while I ride the motorcycle. haha. Larry is ripe for a big foot tattoo, however. I personally view my body as a temple. Actually... this is getting to be a little sore subject... I was just at the body shop where the Orange is at... They JUST got the repair order from DC, which somehow sat on someones desk for the past month before they got it. DC wants them to replace the top right hood mount assembly. They feel it is causing the squeek and putting pressure on a couple of rivets there. Meanwhile... the body shop has left her out in the weather and the aluminum on the motor looks like it has been sitting out in a yard the past 20 years, VERY corroded... I'm just a lil pissed. I talked to my service manager, he assures me they'll replaced any corroded parts... but dam, that's close to 1/2 the motor! ------------------ |

sounds like a bad story getting worse. Too bad no way to envoke the lemon law and get a refund or a new Cat! ------------------ |

I'm hoping I can come out a lil better by having DC refi my Kat's and all my other cars with a promise to do any other "buys" I want in the next two years at the same cool rates. I'll find out on that soon, and this should work for them as then they do not have to do the buy back with the dimished value. The "parts" are finally in and they are working on it today. I was down there a lil bit ago. Crazy Horse... unfortunately... I still need to work and pay bills, this means for me, I'm lucky to have a day off... Never had a vacation, maybe one day. ------------------ |
