THe test drive I was in at 6500 feet and the car felt like it was at sea level and yes with my lard @$$ in the passenger seat it squeeked the tires for the 1-2 shift. I feel it is a must do. |

Fatman-I've got Mac aircleaner settup and no mufflers. I dont get a second gear chirp, but the car runs great now. RPM at 72 mph-3k. Higher then before, but the exhaust resonance is in in a different place, not at my main driving speed. Now if we could just defeat the converter lockup-or use a knob switch to engage it, the settup would be perfect. Reason-when you get down, and the trans goes into third, it almost immediately goes into lockup. It would pull harder if it didn't. Any ideas anyone? |

LT-1? M-22 tranny? OK not funny. Mopar is coming out with a new torque converter next year for the Prowler, that's what I heard from one of the DC Gods. Keep our fingers crossed. |

Just had my gears installed today. So far chirked once in first and twice on the shift from first to second. Prowler tech was with me the first time it chirped and we both had BIG grins on. I believe it was worth the money. ------------------ |

Bill, maybe I don't hear the tires because I don't have mufflers! Gary-maybe the converters in the 2001s already-HiHo say's his is faster off the line-right? Also-SoCal speed shop told me that they're working on a converter and to check back-they did R&D for Chrysler on the 300. I never got back with them-they also said that they reprogramed the PCM. Just a matter of time before we bust out! |

Gary C, I got a good laugh at the way you described your ride with the new gears in. I have no doubt that the new gears will make the Kat capable of 1-2 chirp. I discovered about a month ago, that under 3/4th throttle; I could get 1-2 chirp with no mods. Has to do with speed at which the trans is shifting. The gears are causing it to shift at that lower speed. If I had the money, I'm sure I would go ahead with the gears. ------------------ |

Hard to tell without something like a G-Tec. I know it gets up tp 110 faster using the seat of the pants method! Before you needed to stay in 3rd to get top speed or you fall out of the powerband. Any time I've gotten into it, I come into traffic pretty fast, but now I think shifting at redline, I get into 4th at around 95. I might be wrong here-still feeling the things out. butchcee, was right. they make a big difference They really make the cat fun to drive. No more shifting up and down or booging in 4th . the shift time between gears is way faster. They should come from the factory with them. Hey Gary want to run'em . hehehe. ------------------ |

Hey Gary, Nyle says he gets 3 feet of rubber out of the hole and a big chirp in second. Better check for a hidden bottle before you pull out your wad-(not as in johnny) |
