ontheprowl99 | Thank you wonderful gentlemen for all of the information you have so generously provided me! My husband has "let" me "take charge" of choosing new wheels for our Prowler (we have both a 1999 and a 2002 Prowler so the wheels SHOULD fit EITHER if I choose properly!). So far I understand the height, width, and backspacing of the wheels for the front and back of the car and for the trailer. I THINK that the "soft" lip is the way to go to be closest to OEM--and I was trying to make sure the pressure sensors on the wheels are not affected by the choice of soft lip or standard lip--any ideas anyone? I am also thinking of going with a 2" spacer on the trailer and using a backspacing calculated from the oem backspacing of 2 7/16" + 2" = 4 7/16" on the trailer (does that sound right anyone?) One of the last decisions that I have to make for the wheels is the MANUFACTURER or SELLER of the spacers. Has anyone purchased 2" or 1 1/2" wheel spacers that you are really satisfied with the quality? (so I can choose the same seller). With my husband's approval (okay HIS choice!) I am planning on going with Colorado Custom's Valdez design and I am TRYING to make the trailer wheels NOT look a LOT more indented than the front wheels, that is why I am trying to make a bigger backspacing than the oem backspacing. I think that is right, right? I hope some of you have some free time and don't mind writing some answers for me. Thanks in advance! Prowleronline people are WONDERFUL!! |
