ZuluProwlerWith a few hours to spare and being motivated to come up with an alternative to the $699 eBay roll bar, I made this. It works (for me) aesthetically and did not break the bank. I'm just sharing, not asking for a critique, so don't bother trying to tell me what I did wrong. It does not stress the very light location points, fits snugly on soft rubber posts and stores very efficiently in the trunk when removed. The buttons are available in a range of colors so if this went on a different car, the color can be matched quite closely.....

DublinOHInteresting...If you spin it around forwards and put a piece of plexiglass on the front you'd have a roll bar / wind suppressor...

About $599.....

JUAN MOTIELooks like the chrome bars i have in my shower.
ZuluProwlerCouldn't resist hey? Had to be a rude jerk and cement your reputation. Now that I am on your members list of disparaging remarks I feel much more at home here. I love trolls who hide behind forums and cast failed witticisms and innuendo as it invokes a true sense of balance with those who are real people. Keep us entertained Mr Drug Dealer, it's slow here in Georgia and I need more light-hearted puerility to scoff at and show to my crowd in the pub! Encore, encore.....!

Just FYI - I don't mess with chrome even in my shower. Only 316 stainless for me! Like on yachts. Which is where the fittings come from. But if you are low-ball, that's okay. Maybe galvanized from now?

ZuluProwlerAaah, so years of tenure give you the right to be a top class low life. Like fungus. Don't PM me again since you are not a B-hole or C-hole which only leaves the A slot. I can sling dollars with the best so that angle of attack makes me grin even more. And yes, you are a Drug Dealer - by virtue of the post in the decoding of our names where you state that yourself. Go grab that shower bar (you need support in the shower?) and rinse profusely. It won't help but WTH, it's the thought that counts. In the interests of everyone else on this forum let's ignore each other from now on. How about it DD? Or must you have the last word in every case? This is fun!

Thanks Dan! My concern with making one the same was the stress on the deck. It's very light. Some think I was skimping but I really wanted a way to mount a GoPro and hang a towel.....

ZuluProwlerI guess I need to work on my bar some more. It was a first pass after all and I have lots of other ideas to make it more expensive! Dollars equal class after all. Or so they say in the chemically-close fraternity, apparently.

How do you folks feel about LED's in the bar? The wiring path is a challenge but can be hidden. I just wonder if it'll be a pain to connect / disconnect? I'll probably give it a shot just to keep busy.
