mslc10I can't leave anything alone! I wanted the light in my new suppressor to be brighter so I decided to modify it.i saw LED strips for under counter, stereo racks etc , picked one up. It works on 12volts and gives you multiple colors. Not finished , need one more strip.but here are a few pix:

Here I am taking a bit off so led strip will fit under clamp.

Here you see the strip under the clamp.

Here I'm gluing the plug in a recess cut into the plexiglass.

Here is partially done with the remote at bottom of pic. Remote is IR and there is a small eye that will be located around the suppressor. Will be wired so I won't have to have parking lights on.

mslc10If you wanna try this you will need to remove the step up transformer ( red box you mounted at fuse box) and run straight 12volts back to the controller that comes with strips. Also move the fuse tap up to "interior lights" fuse and put original fuse back in parking light fuse space. it is much brighter with the convienance of being able to have it on without parking lights, and also not having it on during driving.
quincyWOW! Much brighter than the original led light. Hope the cops leave you alone when that is on at night time. Nice work!!
mslc10Thank Quincy! It is dimmable, also gives me ability to have it on or off Independant of parking lights being that it's wired on a " always hot" circuit.
