Thanks... not for commentary, just as a count of POA members really. Men and women used to hunt but now we are the hunted. Hunted by other people who are too lazy to work but consider what we have accumulated to be theirs for the taking. Waiting on the police to arrive is too late as they only write the report of what has transpired. If you don't look out for yourself and your loved ones, no one else is going to do it. I wonder if I can make an anonymous donation...StingRay ... a current paid member of the NRA, and if so, for how long? BeWare Not a member. Was at one time but no longer. George Johnson I was when I was younger and doing a lot of quail hunting...but haven't been for 15-20 years. Beachkat2 I'm going to join so I can get the free knife gift LSK I have been an NRA member since the 1970's. I also have a concealed carry permit and you can considered me armed 24-7. bjprowler
Nope....Not a member and haven't owned a gun (nor felt the NEED for one) in 40 yearsBeWare I didn't renew my membership because of the extreme volumes of calls and emails from them constantly looking for more $ in donations. The more you give the more they come back for more. The people that call are from hired firms and are not even the NRA and that they receive a commission. There was one call that broke the camels back so to speak. The guy wasn't listening to what I was telling him. I finally had to hang up on him. Then I sent the NRA an email telling them to quit harassing me. I just joined a gun club. If they ever require that I be an NRA member that would be the only reason I would consider joining the NRA again. dskatt I am a NRA member and have never owned a firearm. Dano quote:

I was going to join a few years ago but I heart way too many stories such as this which made me change my mind. As much as I agree with the NRA and their stand for the 2nd amendment, I get too many harassing sales calls as it is.ALLEY CAT Moving to AZ in 1975, I brought with me my 12ga shotgun and .22 rifle. I sold the .22 rifle soon after arriving here, and my shotgun has never been out of the leather case since the 1975 move. Had a handgun which got stolen when the ex didn't lock the front door once....they also got my tool box and never replaced the handgun. So to answer the question, no not a NRA member but would join if I ever got interested in guns again. I might even consider donating to the NRA to protect the right to own and carry a firearm. georgieboy I've been a member since early 1950's. Pay every few years. Wanted to donate money but never did because of following requests for more donations. Wayne LaPeierre's speech the other day was excellent. Landscape Doctor 30 year member. Without the NRA we would not have any firearm rights now.
