BeWareThis is not to start a discussion on Guns. This is to further expose how dishonest and biased CNN has become

'Was the the blood of my classmates and my teachers worth your blood money?'

February 22, 2018 By Rachel Stoltzfoos

CNN’s Jake Tapper was thrown off kilter during an anti-gun town hall Wednesday night when a student went off script and attacked a Democrat senator instead of a spokesman for the National Rifle Association (NRA).

The student had prepared a question she was supposed to ask Dana Loesch, who spoke at the town hall on behalf of the NRA, but aimed her question at Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) instead.

“I had a question for Ms. Loesch but she’s not here yet, so, for her and the NRA, which she’s probably watching, and all of you puppet politicians that they are backing: was the the blood of my classmates and my teachers worth your blood money?”

Rather than chide the questioner for such a dishonest, partisan screed, Tapper immediately jumped to Nelson’s defense.

“Senator Nelson, you don’t have to answer that question,” he said. “Let’s move on to the next question.”

The crowd jeered, and the student was not happy. “Excuse me? I’m a student. I should –”

“I understand that,” Tapper interrupted. “But your question, I thought you were going to ask Senator Nelson a question. Your question sounds like you want to ask Dana Loesch a question in the next segment. And I’m happy to do that, if you want.”

The reaction of both Tapper and Nelson indicates that the scripted event went awry, as Tapper was clearly expecting an approved question for Nelson, not a premature rant aimed at a woman who had not even been brought on stage by the network yet.

Colton Haab, one of the students who survived last week’s mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, told the media he chose not to attend the town hall, because CNN tried to give him written questions to ask at the event. Haab is a Junior ROTC enlistee who personally helped dozens of students stay safe during the shooting by moving them to a more secure classroom and setting up Kevlar screens to shield students from bullets.

“CNN had originally asked me to write a speech that and questions and it ended up being all scripted,” he told a local news outlet. “I expected to be able to ask my questions and give my opinion on my questions.”

Loesch’s husband Chris also addressed the scripted nature of the event at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

“The questions were chosen in advance,” Loesch said. “That was obvious because they were able to hand the microphone to the next person that was going to speak or ask a question. I think at one point it got a little messed up cause one of the young [women] asked Dana a question when she wasn’t even on stage yet, which I thought was a little odd.”

CNN issued a statement on Thursday morning denying that it had scripted the show in advance.

BeWareFather Of Parkland Survivor Accuses CNN Of Pushing Gun Control Narrative

The father of a Stoneman Douglas High School student is accusing CNN of specifically seeking out survivors of the shooting who wanted to talk about gun control, bolstering another survivor’s claims that the network tried to plant scripted questions at their Wednesday night town hall.

Andrew Klein, a Republican gun-owner and the father of Ariana Klein, a junior at Stoneman Douglas, said on Fox News Thursday that he received a call from a CNN producer the day after the shooting last week.

He said it was “not surprising” that the town hall was focused on strict gun control measures, as the producer he spoke to was looking for people who wanted to talk about “policy

“I actually spoke to a CNN producer on Thursday, the day after the shooting, and the producer insinuated to me that they were looking for people who were willing to espouse a certain narrative, which was taking the tragedy and turning it into a policy debate,” Klein claimed. “And I read that as being a gun control debate.”

Fox host Laura Ingraham asked Klein to share specifically what the producer told him, and he recalled that the producer said, “we are looking for people who want to talk about the policy implications about what happened.”

“She didn’t mention guns, but, you know, in terms of the policy implications for preventing future mass shootings, and if you know folks who want to talk about that we would like to speak to those people,” Klein said, with his daughter nodding along.

Klein’s memory of the phone call could give weight to the claims of shooting survivor Colton Haab, a junior ROTC student, who accused CNN of trying to script a question for him to ask at the town hall.

According to Haab, CNN asked him to submit a speech and questions, only for CNN to respond with their own “scripted” question they wanted him to ask.

“CNN had originally asked me to write a speech and questions and it ended up being all scripted,” Haab claimed, explaining that he decided not to go to the town hall after the incident. “I expected to be able to ask my questions and give my opinion on my questions.”

CNN said there was “absolutely no truth” to Haab’s claims, arguing that Haab’s father pulled him from the appearance after CNN told him he would not be able to deliver a lengthy speech.

“After seeing an interview with Colton Haab, we invited him to participate in our town hall along with other students and administrators from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School,” CNN’s Vice President of Communications and Digital Partnerships Matt Vornic told The Daily Caller. “Colton’s father withdrew his name from participation before the forum began, which we regretted but respected. We welcome Colton to join us on CNN today to discuss his views on school safety.”

Dornic added that the network gave Haab the opportunity to expand on the idea of arming teachers rather than delivering a prepared speech, but Haab allegedly declined to reframe his remarks.

While CNN claimed participants were not invited to give lengthy remarks, several did so anyway without being stopped by moderator Jake Tapper. Lori Alhadeff, whose daughter was killed in the shooting, spoke for four minutes while NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch and Broward Country Sheriff Scott Israel sat on stage.

FAKE NEWS....

Colton Father, Glenn, edited email exchange with CNN and then sent it to Fox(Faux)News. Fox never bothered to check facts. So typical of Fox.

According to the "Metadata of the Word document" containing the email that was provided to Fox, it appears that Glenn last edited it.

"It is unfortunate that an effort to discredit CNN and the town hall with doctored emails has taken any attention away from the purpose of the event," a CNN spokesman told Business Insider. "However, when presented with doctored email exchanges, we felt the need to set the record straight."

Glenn did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
.

BeWareOkay so maybe the kid lied. Still not sure who doctored whos email. CNN or the kid. I tend towards giving the the kid benefit of the doubt over CNN just based on CNN's history. But I admit I am biased against CNN and I believe with good reason.

And that doesn't explain the other Fathers comments or Tapper telling that Senator ( who just happens to be a Democrat) he didn't have to answer that students question.

Seems it did not fit their agenda. Why else would he tell him he didn't have to answer.

StingRayCNN has lost all credibility ... .why it is shown in airports, bars, and other public places is beyond me .... unless to simply propagate their liberal agenda and indoctrinate those less informed that seeks out truth from other more reliable sources.
Tomcal"Metadata of the Word document" If you know what Metadata is, you know Metadata does not and cannot lie.

Father and Son lied.

TomcalBeware... Thank-you for acknowledging the kid lied.

As far as telling that Senator ( who just happens to be a Democrat) he didn't have to answer that students question.

What really happened is student start to ask a question directed at NRA representative, who was not on stage at that time. Tapper said not to answer question because it was for NRA representative in next segment of show. Student then moved on to next question and was answered by Democrat Senator.

For clarification, I have attached link to video that starts with students speech and then questions.

FAKE NEWS...

The father of a Florida shooting survivor who accused CNN of wanting him to ask a “scripted” question during a town hall on gun rights last week admitted to altering the contents of an email he received from a producer working on the show.

Glenn Haab, the father of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student Colton Haab, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he left out some words when forwarding an email that he and his son received from CNN producer Carrie Stevenson. Haab sent an altered version of the email to HuffPost and Fox News last week in an attempt to corroborate his son’s claim.

Fox (Faux) News and Hannity ran the story unverified.

Still waiting for a retraction from both.

Hell will freeze over before that happens.

ed monahanDid the omitted words CHANGE the entire meaning of the message? Without seeing both versions it is kind of hard to decide what side is not telling it like it really is. I am not saying that it is just extra words, I don't KNOW what transpired yet.
TomcalEd....

Glenn Haab has admitted he edited/doctored CNN email he send to Fox News, claiming CNN scripted question for his Son.

See below both copies of email.

Look at yellow highlighted sentence. CNN email states "That he submitted". Gleen Haab's edited/doctored email sent to Fox News LEAVES OUT "that he submitted".

Simply put, Glenn Haab's Son, Colton Haab, submitted a question that CNN AGREED TO USE AS AUTHORED by COLTON. Father (Glenn) tied to submitted a much longer convoluted question. He then falsely claimed CNN provided the question (scripted question) to his Son by knowingly and willfully leaving out "That he submitted" (Son submitted question) that he forwarded to Fox News.

Fox News never verified emails and ran story.

Don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that email was edit/doctored and how it change the true meaning significantly.

TomcalSometimes there are partial miracles. Carlson and Hannity retracted. Fox News Channel is still silent.

....Fox News is backing down from a story that said CNN gave scripted questions to Colton Haab, a student who survived the massacre in Parkland, Florida during its town hall discussion of gun violence in America last week.

On their respective shows Tuesday evening, Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity backed away from the story after news emerged that Haab’s father had doctored emails and removed key phrases that served to incriminate CNN.

“For the sake of honesty and full disclosure to which we are committed, we have to tell you there is no evidence as of right now that CNN tried to give Colton Haab a scripted question, and we wanted you to know that,” said Tucker Carlson about 15 minutes into.

Toward the end of his show, Hannity’s remarks were even briefer.
“What Haab told all news outlets last week was inaccurate. Our job is always to strive for the truth and we want to correct the record”

It’s unclear whether the channel plans to issue an apology for running with the story, a rep for the network declined to do so on Wednesday.

StingRaySomething you would never sneeze out of a Lemon on CNN ... YUGE difference
TomcalWrong again StingRay.
ALLEY CATSliding somewhat OFF TOPIC, but a CNN report:

In case you missed this breaking news on CNN… According to CNN’s ‘developing story’ one of the design bugs of the Boeing 777 is that it will tend to lose altitude when the fuel tanks run dry

This is just one prime example of the crack investigative reporting by today’s major media.
