Later I was talking to my Chevy dealer friend and asked why they said that. He said they will give you $1000 off if you have bad credit, but here's the kicker. They sell you the car and then get you financed at 13.5% for 60 months. The bank gives the $1000 back to the dealer. The contract the buyer signs, has a statement about a penalty for early payoff. Anyone ever hear of anything like that? That doesn't sound like it would be legal to do that. He said were you a Veteran..yes How about Gov. employee..yes Senior Citizen..yes Is your Beacon score lower than 660? I said...LOWER? you mean higher. He said no lower...I said no mine is about 815. I laughed and said I get a better deal if I have BAD credit?. He said yes. JeraneW Sounds true. Furniture dealers do likewise. "Buyer beware." Gort quote:
