jimsutton My dog was bitten by a Coral snake a few years ago .and all most died lived to tell the story .. I have killed 5 of them in the last 3 Years and I think I got them all . But now there is a Cobra loose in Ocala need to keep a eye out for this bad Boy ...
DrewWhen my son was a toddler, he was walking across our front yard about to step in a pile of dog poop..so I thought.. I yelled to him to avoid it, turned out to be a baby rattlesnake. It was shaking it's tail hard but no sound yet, too young. My neighbor came out and wanted to chop it's head off with a shovel but I didn't want my child's first experience with a wild animal to be to kill it, so I scooped it up with a shovel, slid him into a coffee can and my son and I drove a half hour away to barren desert and released him. It was a truly a very close call for him.
TucsonJerJim, Glad to hear your dog will survive. To use a line by Harrison Ford in the movie "Indiana Jones", I HATE SNAKES. Found a rattlesnake in my garage about 4 years ago and to this day I still don't go into the garage without doing a scan. It's been in the 90's here for the last week and the local news channels have been warning us daily to be aware that the snakes are out and about. To think about a Cobra lurking around would make me REAL nervous. I've also seen that they're having a real problem with boa constrictors down in Florida... 😱 Good luck down there. Jer
