koolktyOk, this may sound like a silly question. When you unhook your Prowler trailer and want to lock it up so no one walks off with it, what kind of chain or cable do you use, and where to attach? Through one of holes in the front leg? Through the wheel? I recently got my trailer painted yellow to match my car and have some trips planned this summer where I will be leaving the trailer in places where I want it to be secure. I should have looked more closely at how others were locking up their trailer at the 20th last year.
stevedymoHere's what they did in Lancaster, PA.

BeWareI use a plastic coated cable and a high quality lock. If a pole is not handy you can run the cable from wheel to wheel or from the wheels to over the trailer tongue. Also put a dog bone style lock on the receiver latch.

Same here, bought a 6' or so at 1st and found it too short. Now have one about 15' long and good lock, best to wrap around something strong like light pole, but not always available.

Just pull the trailer instead of unhooking

Marty UsherI really like the trailer for going to car shows and cruise in, but with my first Prowler after hailing it over 22,000 to various Prowler events I grew tired of it. It took up space in the garage - even with the Larry Lord trailer stand, and I got lower fuel mileage pulling it, had to secure it where ever we arrived so I ended up selling it and shipping a box of clothes to the event hotel via UPS. For the $5000 or so for the trailer I could ship stuff to and from a LOT of events. That said, I DO like the looks of the trailer and you haul a lot of stuff in it!
koolktyHey Larry, I would just keep it attached if it wasn't near impossible to back up with it. Although you're probably an expert at that by now.

Rich, thanks for the info on where to run the cable through.

It just takes practice, I have showed people how to back them up. Best to have empty parking lot and practice backing into spaces and to get as straight as possible before backing, use your mirrors to watch as you back between the lines, if you start to see the side of the trailer you have turned it too far.

Or get you a lawn mower and yard wagon, practice backing it, once you master that the prowler trailer will be like backing a 53' semi trailer....... LOL

Trivia,

Why is the trailer tongue so long?

I had planned on cutting mine off some, which would make it even harder to back, but would look better.

The tongue is as long so

If you jack knife the trailer it will not hit the body of the car

Bend the crap out of the exhaust tips if you push it too hard.
