padrooCould we have more details on the Prowler, like mileage and had the recall been done, etc.
phil2237Looks like two Prowler ball joints have failed when you read the article. All Prowler owners need to keep an eye on these. It will prevent a lot of damage with just a few minutes of your time and a jack to make sure your ride is safe.

quincySorry....I don't do facebook. Can anyone share details? And, it would be nice to know, once again, the quick and simple procedure to check for defective joints.
Thanks!!

See your owners manual for correct jacking points.

You don't have to lift both sides at once. One side at a time is fine.

Run RedHe purchased the car with 23000 miles it now has 55000,
don't believe he knew anything about the recall, before
this happen.

alrtgBack in 2008 when I bought my Prowler it has just under 14K miles on it.
The prior owner had purchased it with about 9K miles and the recall had already been done at that time.
Today the car has a little over 52K on it and I have had no issues as yet.

I don't belong to FB and don't have any intention to ever join up.
