CONGRATULATIONS! Proud to be a Prowler owner.georgieboy I had my 99 Prowler and trailer in a car show today at Castle Air Force Base in Merced, CA. There were over 400 entries and 43 awards. My car won an award!!!! YEA PROWLER!!!! Simonsez The only time my Prowler has ever won anything was at the Las Vegas Event...and that was for the "Hard Luck Award" after my thermostat stuck. I need to go to more shows I guess. Steve Conley I was at the Main St. Bisbee AZ. car show years ago. I even had the Hardtop and Trailer with the Kat. So when the trophys were given out, all I received was First Place Honorable Mention. So I go up to get my trophy and on the way back to the car, I read the trophy. And it says Third place??? So I go back to the stand and ask what happened to First Place??? The guy replies "We ran out of First and Second place trophys"??? Oh Well?? DHansen Steve that sounds about right for a Bisbee car show CAT-A-TONIC Congrats on your award. It only goes to show the appeal of the Prowler and how appealing it's been from day one. It was just a couple of weeks ago on the Yahoo home page there was one of their stupid article titled, "25 cars only a moron would buy." And guess what? the second car up was of course the Prowler. And according to this expert it was all because it didn't come with a snarling V-8 under the hood. There comes a time when speed and overall power doesn't make up for lack of design and appeal. The Prowler gets out of it's own way AND has the looks at any car show or just being on the road in general. It doesn't have to go 200 mph to be a winner. The Prowler has been proving that since 1997. Drew Being filmed or photographed nearly every time you take the car out is a unique perspective only felt by owning one, it is a very special car. 401KAT quote:

First of many wonderful times ahead for you and your Prowler! georgieboy Actually, this is the third time my Prowler has won. It has been in many shows probably 5 per year for 4 years. In a judged show where judges are appointed to select winners Prowlers seldom win. Judges want to give the award to a guy who has built a car up with his own hands. Usually a hot rod or muscle car. They dont want to give it to a factory built car. Prowlers often win in a show where the spectators vote for the winner. Everyone loves the Prowler and they will vote for it. The third kind of show winner is a merchant award. Local merchants pay for a winner plaque or trophy. The merchants name or business name is on the award. The merchant then gets to select the car that he wants to give his award to. Prowlers win quite often here also. This type of winner is popular here in California now. With this award shows have more awards to give out. Generally the merchant pays up to $50 for this. That makes them easy to get for a show. Often there will be over 50 awards of this type in a show.
