dean1948Has anyone ever replaced their Mirror Glass on their Prowler?. If so, how is the best way to remove the bad one? I would like to replace mirror and back plate....
padrooI have not had any problem yet but here are a few links to look through and maybe you can find an answer.

robinBest way is to remove door panel and the unplug mirror .
Then there are three bolts to remove then you will have the mirror in your hand.
At that point you can move the mirror enough to remove the back plate.

JU5013105AA drivers
JU5013106AA pass

Reinstall check electronics before putting door panel back on .
Make sure wires are tucked away as I think they are held in place by a clip .
Be careful when removing the panel. Do a search of how to remove the door bezel and the cup. Old plastic breaks

Greg and VetaI had to change the glass and backing (all one piece) on my passenger side because part of the plastic backing that attaches to the metal cross that is between the mirror glass and housing/adjusters had broken. The mirror glass with backing will pry/pop off. I adjusted the mirror to give me as much room to see the back and get behind it and them applied a little pressure. Transfer the metal cross, which allows up, down, left, right movement to the backing on the new glass and pop it in. At the time I think it cost me about $65 for the glass mirror. I found no reason to take the whole unit off the car.

robinyes please attempt without having to remove door panel.

I guess that would be a second option if needed.....

Thanks for all the help.....I have some scratches in each mirror that I have tried everything to get them out with no success..I thought I could live with it but they drive me crazy every time I get in my prowler. I will do what Greg said he done and try popping them out. I have ordered a kit from Mopar for each side and hope they will come with a little help....Again, thanks to all......

SimonsezI replaced mine without any problems.
padrooI have never had a problem with the mirrors but I looked around and couldn't find a really good picture of the back side of the mirror or the mirror assemble disassembled.
