dartleyBe aware that many Chrysler dealers now have a new supply of OEM Vertical Stabilizer Links available for purchase and/or installation. The VSL's are $125 ea. My total bill to replace both was $441.00 (Note: I have no connection to the VSL mfg or Chrysler.) I own a '02 Prowler and wanted to replace my VSL's even though it only has 3,200 miles on it.
keesTake the Spoons set. They look better, are cheaper and last a lifetime.

For the upper lateral links at the back (4) , use the Control Freak set !!!

Best regards,

Kees

Why would anyone want the orginal VSL ?

robinUnfortunately this person probably didn't know that spoons made VSL.
Thus he would have saved all that money. Rookie mistake. JMO

X2 on the rookie mistake. All the info is on this site, true and tested info. Put it behind you and move on, next time check here first.

1of1576X3, On every and any issue I have found on my cat since purchase in july, I go to this forum first. If I can't find it in archives, I just ask. Otherwise, I would of had a $775 stock fuel pump installed, and also would of had to live with a drivers seat that is 3" too high, and doors that don't open wide enough. You guys are great!! Andy

I personally don't like to search the archives on this site, I use another method.

Say you are looking for the key word "FUEL PUMP"

Go the the address bar on your browser and type in.

fuel pump site:www.prowleronline.com

and every instance of fuel pump that was ever used on this website will come up. You can use it to find anything just change the key word.

RPLpadroo, thanks for supporting the site.
dartleyI would like to respond to the members who have so correctly stated that there are aftermarket products that afford Prowler owner's better value in terms of performance, comfort and/or appearance, and at an affordable price. I just happen to be one of those car guys that fall into the category of being a "purist" who believes there is an intrinsic value in preserving a collectible car - be it a XKE or a Prowler. My post on OEM VSL's being made available again at your local dealer was strictly as FYI. My best to all.
RPLThank you for the information. Yes, some owners really want to keep their cars stock. We just changed a set of stock links on a car with only 2,000 miles. The boots were in very bad shape.

My fault in assuming you made a rookie mistake other than just a choice.
No harm done just wanted you to save some money.
Thanks for communicating your thoughts.

Well spoken, your original post did not suggest that you were keeping it stock. Most like a driver so comfort is a major factor in replacing a part or parts which makes a better ride or not having to change parts over and over again. No hard feelings. LD
1of1576Thanks Padroo, your search info was better/quicker. Thanks! Andy
ed monahanThank goodness, finally another "totally stock" guy.

Ed,

My Prowler is totally stock.......except for the fifty plus items that have changed.

Deep down inside it is still "Stock".
