This one is just about 2 miles from my office in case anyone wants me to check it out for them! This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 08-05-2011 at 08:19 PM but no way does it sell for $55000.00 maybe $32000.00 Of course the dealer that is selling this gold Prowler specializes in Ferrari and Lamborghini. That "last Prowler sold at $175k" ... is that Mike's High Voltage blue ... a littl emisleading really, as that was a charitable auction, not an outright sale. -------------------------------------------- Is this a true statement ? tom They must be thinking it's silver. iDive ... I believe he may be referring to the Auburn Auction of the first Prowler ... not sure if it was first produced car, first car for public sale or what, but I do recall this Auburn car fetching a pretty high price, upwards of $140k, which in turn kinda then set the trend for may dealers to "gauge" customers on the '97's and early '99's too! Even the '99's and '00's,,,,some dealers were getting $60 to $75K for them in big markets, with impulse buyers. To the right buyer,,,I think this gold cat will go for $40K. Hey, if it has never been registered, maybe you can still get all repairs covered under warranty. :-)Greg and Veta http://clients.automanager.com/012359/VD.html?VID=499e7e73b1d3c944907262607eca61d8 Marty Usher For $55K I'd expect a few less miles! Greg and Veta I'd like to take it around the block for a test drive, but that would double the miles on the car. DES nice looking..not a fan of the gold but it looks good.... does it have pin striping on it? WINDY CITY PROWLER 55k They must be nuts, 35K maybe. Greg and Veta About 18 months ago they, or the used car dealer right next door to them, had a Candy Prowler for sale with 8K miles. They wanted $40K. I understand it did not sell and went to one of the major auctions in Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. Never heard what it sold for. StingRay Could be he thinks it is real gold ... tom112 "The 1st Prowler ever produced sold for $141k" beachcat quote:

No it's not. The first one sold to the public sold to a guy in California. It sold for over $100K but not that high. However 2 that I know of did sell for $141K. I have it written down but not digging it up. I think they were sold in New York and Philly. My research shows the 97's sold for average price nationally for $111K and locally for average $90K. Unless you knew someone to get a deal it was hard to buy one for under $60K the first year. I know what Mike paid for his first one but won't disclose that info. They delivered 5 to Houston and I know what they all sold for.StingRay quote:

I like the $600 documentation fee you pay buying this car.
I want the job there doing the 20 minute paperwork involved, and just taking 1/2 of the $600 ondone quote:

Doesn't have to be registered for the warranty period to begin,,,,,,once the car is shown as "in service" the warranty clock starts.
