Ah the cross we prowler owners have to bare Next year I might return in a rusted out 85 K car and park on the show floor Prowler Trash, parked up on the hill, with the rest of the sleds This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 07-10-2011 at 12:26 PM Maybe you left the show too early? This message has been edited by fibertop on 07-10-2011 at 04:39 PM It was a charity event and money wasn't an issue. But I have voiced my concern through an email to their site. I would just give up or check before you take the drive. Next year I might return in a rusted out 85 K car and park on the show floor The rules of the club: Wasaga Beach Cruisers Car Club is comprised of approx 75 members with a common interest in vehicles 1985 and earlier. Members are involved in the restoration, preservation and enjoyment of these vehicles. Some have been restored to original condition, some have been modified and others have survived in their original state. The club meets each Monday evening at the Wal-Mart shopping centre in Wasaga Beach (see map under the "cruises" tab for location details). Through collections, barbeques and food drives, held throughout the year, the club raises money to donate to local charities If you own a vehicle at least 25 years old, or if you are just interested in antique vehicles please join us any Monday evening, to see some fine vehicles, enjoy some nostalgic music, and help us support local charities. Clubs have rules. They are just going by their rules. Did you expect them to break the rules for you? Maybe you can start a club in your area for cars similar to the Prowler. There might be a need for such a club in your neighborhood. You can then make the rules that satisfy you and others in the club. The show that turned me away had nothing to do with Wasaga Beach Cruisers. Re-read I should have checked first but I figured there was power in numbers and I showed up in a convoy from my club. The show that turned me away had nothing to do with Wasaga Beach Cruisers. Re-read Did these 75 members who welcomed you with open arms try to get the sponsors to let your car in. Did any of them not attend the show and leave with you? What were the shows rules about cars? I know you love your Prowler, and you are very proud of it. It looks great and makes a big statement when seen. Not everyone loves the Prowler. Life is short. You have a right to voice your opinion, but sometimes no matter what a person thinks or says, the people who make the rules have the final decision. Go out and take your Prowler for a ride. 711 has free slurpees today. 7/11/11. I am sure you will get someone to admire your car in the parking lot, and that will put a big smile on your face. Tonight I went to cruise night in the beach where my car is accepted. I talked my neighbour into coming with his prowler too and both cars were a hit. They got the most attention from the hundreds of tourists who are here now.fibertop Took a one hour drive to a local car show this morning. Joined a convoy of about 20 other cars from my club Wasaga Beach Cruisers. Everyone was welcomed in to the 50 acre site but I was directed to park way the hell and gone, where nobody goes, on a steep hill with some snowmobiles. I have no idea why they had snowmobiles there They charged me to park there. I paid them and then made a quick U turn and left. Indy Well, that would be a show I would never visit again. The Prowler ranks among the most rare cars on the street and I get more looks in mine than most others get in their exotics. So whoever made you park on the hill either just is jealous or has no eyes I wouldn't take it personally. Indy ALLEY CAT ALLEY CAT
Dodge Spirit, above, took home the trophy for 'Best Mopar Exotic in Show'fibertop Not a wasted day after all. A guy took this high res pic on the way in and just emailed it to me.
He took this one in the BeachDave Mills About 10 years ago I went to a show in Frederick Maryland. I even called first to make sure they would let me in. When I got there, they turned me down, but they left a Viper in. I never went back. StingRay Why on earth did you pay them, or at the very least, when you found the spot they were parking you unsatisfactory, didn't you ask for a refund? Unless this was some sort of charity event, I would have voiced my concern and asked for a refund before leaving ... George Johnson I have been thru the same experience on many past occasions. I think a big reason is that car shows and judges really don't know what class to put the Prowler. I finally joined and became active in the local Mopar Club. The guys told me that most people don't know much about a Prowler, so consequently they have no idea about all the mods you have done to your Prowler. I have since put together a book of pictures before and after of a lot of the mods and with the support of the club members, I am now always welcome to join them at the car shows... fibertop quote:

Ah the cross we prowler owners have to bare Howard The car club you are talking about has a web page. fibertop Howard. You're a little mixed up. I am a member of Wasaga Beach Cruisers and they have welcomed me with open arms regardless of their "rules". They have told me straight up that they accept my prowler as one of their own. fibertop Rick, Howard quote:
