| St0rmBr1nger | Just a quick question. I am completely out of space for cars, at least at ground level. I am looking to some of those single post lifts for the garage to lift my next prowler above the SSR. Something along the lines of this. 
Thing is that they get monster expensive when you go up in weight load, since the 550 spyder and the Prowler are the heaviest things I want to put on one does anybody know of one with like a 3.5K weight limit that will not break the bank. | phil2237 | Just remember , we live in Earth Quake country, Is that single leg on that lift going to take the movement ? Maybe one with 4 legs might be safer here. |

| CJ | Like Dave, we chose a four post. The added stability is a great concern to me and I've had no problems with the lift.

| TLRandall | I have a 10 foot long 4 post lift inside the Monster trailer that holds the Prowler trailers above the Kats. It's a 12 volt system made by Gemini Lifts in Ft. Worth Texas for stacker trailers. They make garage lifts also. |
| royreed86 | I've got that exact singlepost lift shown with the corvette. I love it ,but had to pay 6 K for it and it required 220 wiring which wasn't a big deal. Also a bear to put together, but I managed it all by myself with a forklift. Mainly bought it for display purposes as I like to feature a differant car on itin my garage each month.

| St0rmBr1nger | Ok had a local lift guy come out and see what would fit. He agrees with you guys. 4 post lift. I have to do a roll up garage door to get them to fit but it will be cheaper for 2 4 posters and the garage door, then one single post lift. |
| StingRay | Not sure what you mean by "roll-up" garage door, but on my first house with existing garage door, a company came out and re-ran just the top rails higher, along the ceiling, and used a 'dummy' panel atop the existing door to help with the existing opener reach and lift the door. Worked great. On current house, with second lift in second stall, the door company did the same thing right from the get-go, running the rails up along the ceiling and using a traditional, insulated, fiberglass garage door. Hope this explanation makes sense to you. |

| Dave Mills | That is what I have. I have extended radius rails with a false panel to get the door(s)high enough. But I have 10-12 foot ceilings in my garage. |

Designed the current garage height based on the minimum I would need for cars being lifted and fitting under - have 9'8" here. More is sure better, if you can get it! |
| CJ | Catfish.........that photo was taken years ago. However, we do store them that way each year. Prowler #3 is stored in my Prowler garage up north. I haven't put them away as yet, I hold out as long as I can and drive them as much as I can!! |

St0rmBr1nger....if you look at my photo, you can see where we had the door modified to accommodate the car on the top of the lift. Fortunately, we had very high ceilings in the garage and it was no problem. They ran the rails higher. Bob and I opted to leave the garage door opener off since we don't open that door as often. Works great!! |
| PURRFECT | I went with a stable 4-post Danmar lift, which was only about $2K, and considered worth every penny to get three cars in our 2-car garage! It works great, and has short profile perfect for the Prowler fit in garage. Only takes a couple of minutes each time to lower it down for Prowlin around in sunny Florida... and ready for Prowlin Naples and to Key West next Month.
