Wally Other than that she purred like a well tuned kitten. Especially on the tail. It ran like a slot car. Towards the front of the second group and pushed it hard. The car was diffidently better than I was and 100 years ago ran SCCA races. Man I loved the Tail (Tail of the Dragon) MOPAR # I had the cable come off the shifter preventing me from removing the key but this is a simple fix and has happened before. This message has been edited by garysss on 10-12-2009 at 08:28 PM Are you sure one of the chickens running loose did not loosen the terminal as a practical joke? I was talking about mechanical problems, but should have included any mishaps from start to finish as it seems that some of these are better than the mechanical ones! Wally MOPAR # I had the belts on our Kat replaced just prior to the event. The originals were showing signs of cracking. Randy wallygator310 Here's the question....How many had mechanical problems with their Kats to, during or from the event? Small or big? I know Rick B. lost his belts on the Tail, I lost the dash lights and Larry's fuel gauge is not working right. Post yours. Laddie Roussel Wally, my cell phone got run over by some Prowlers. does that count... Tennessee Cat I ran over my hat in the parking lot. By the way thanks to whoever saw that and brought it up to me. Not sure if I ever said thank you. David Veu Casovic It may be time for more of us to start carrying an extra set of Belts seeing that the Prowler are getting older and more miles on them.
V-Belt= #04663950AC
Serpentine= #04892479ABed monahan Bill Coffey had one of his sensors go out on the way to the event. Luckily Ken Gensheimer had extras and was travelling with him.
Rick Buehler left the event and went back up Rt 321 toward Townsend since he was heading to Cincinnati. He pulled off on a paved area and a rotten branch fell and hit just behind their heads, putting rotten wood in behind his seat, all over the cockpit but it missed them and didn't damage the car.
I realize that is not a mechanical problem but he had his fair share of adventure. He came to Cincy to see some cousins and then was heading to MD to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. He was meeting up with MeanGene this week.
We had lunch together on Saturday. JeraneW Purred like a kitty should! jimsutton Well every thing went well toll i got Atlanta,Ga. then my low tire pressure statred acting up with low tire pressure light /bell this is the same thing that happened on the way back from Branson, Mo.my tire press is fine .i get this from time to time ?? MDProwler Does leaving the keys to the kat at home count? Thanks to GarySSSSSSSSSSSSS for going to my house and getting them for me.(He came the next day) garysss Mine would not start Monday morning, but it was just a loose battery terminal. I'm sure it was some how related to carrying the extra weight of MDProwler's keys all day Sunday. alrtg quote:

Serpentine= #04892479ABMarty Usher I replaced the belts on my Prowler every time I replaced the engine! DON WIEBER over 6000 miles on this summer and loving ever mile of it. no problems. getting it ready to put into storage for the winter. bgcarter put on 2345 miles this trip and no problems. We now carry sensors and tools, will probably have belts next time.
Not aware of any problems for our group from New England.
bgcarterdroptop The only mishap for us was a lost center cap. Noticed that as we pulled into the garage at home. What a great vacation. VAHOTCAT Not one single problem here. I had trans sensors and tools in the car, just in case.
I was really impressed with the performance of the car on the tail of the Dragon. I only hit the brakes twice, once was to get off MeanGene's a$$. I hit 3rd gear twice as well. We had a great day to do the Tail of the Dragon, and it was fantastic.
I was concerned about hauling the trailer behind it since it was my first time taking the prowler trailer on a long road trip, but everything was fine.
My hat is off to all those, Especially you Ed, (big boy, LOL) for putting all this together, and also to you Laddie, and Enzo.
What a great family we have with the Prowlers!
