tomnafaireI've seen lots of great pics of silvers with silver hard tops and they look nice. But I've never seen a silver (not Black Tie) with a black hard top. Anyone try that combination? I'd love to see pics posted if so.

Trying to visualize.
Thanks!

alrtgI have a Silver and have had the same thought as well.

I think it would look good. Another choice would be Carbon Fiber if it were available.

tomnafaireIt would be great to see a photoshop image of a silver with black hard top. It would be a shame to paint a hardtop black, not like the look and then have to repaint it back to silver. a photoshop image would let you visualize it and decide before painting it.

I agree...carbon fiber could look great too!

idiveI have an idea. Now, I realize that sometime's I'm a little bizaar and off the wall with my ideas, but see if you can grasp this concept for a minute... try putting the soft top up and stand back, and see what the car looks like with a black top on it. If you don't like the color combination, I would say to paint the top silver instead of black. JMO.
stprinzi agree with idrive. the softtop is already black why should you paint the hardtop black ? it will be the same as it is already.......have a look at my scrapbook. i painted my hardtop silver with two black stripes to do something different.

sorry but it looks like a convertible to me

Wayne FinchHere is a black on a Black Tie. This was Mike's (thedqman) car. Maybe someone can photoshop the car to turn it back to a silver car. This looked great.

BTW, I think a black hardtop looks a lot different than a black softop.

alrtgDid you notice the two tone treatment on the weekender, That IS cool, looks like a lot of thought went into this one. I like it. The silver bumpers too!
