L@@KIN41I flew to Washington DC last Sat. arriving at 1:45pm, The owner was at the airport to pick me up. 83 degrees...and emotions spilling out on the 30 minute drive. The garage door opened and my eyes just welled up....I just couldn't believe my dream was coming true. I mean, I flunked out of college! How is this possible, why me?? Just one thought after another racing through my head as I walked closer and closer.....my god is she beautiful!! 1999 Triple Black with 3,800 miles on her. I still can't remember all the instructions....all I know is the wind was blowing through my hair by 3pm and the grin on my face hasn't worn off. I landed in Bismarck at 11:30 Sunday night...1600 miles of smiles in 29 hrs on a few hrs of sleep....WHY SLEEP WHEN REALITY IS BETTER THAN YOUR DREAMS....THANKS to everyone for all your input and advice. A SPECIAL THANK YOU to TOP KAT for going out of his way for a total stranger!....no one, I mean no one, in any other brotherhood, would you find better friends than on this site! Top KatGreg, happy to know you made it home safe and sound. I know you enjoyed the drive . Congrats buddy. Has your dad seen it and driven it yet? I know that was high on your priority list. Enjoy....and hope to meet you at an event sometime in the future.
DrewFellow college drop-out, trips to the garage just to look at it... normal. Waxing it like you're lotioning up the finast babe on the beach,.. that could be just me. Anyway, glad to hear you had a safe trip home.
ntprowlWelcome on Board! Your fun has just begun.
I also have a 99 Black Kat that I purchased last November.
One of the highlights of my life and at age 70 I have had a lot of highlights!
Bob(ntprowl)Leonard

tangled up in BLUE.....I drove 2 new Prowlers from Woodbridge Va(different trips)to my home in Indiana.....great times, great memories.....you'll remember that journey the rest of your life.....congratulations on becoming a member of the Prowler family

Fred CainLast July went to Lowe`s to buy a toolbox and in dealers showroom was sitting 99 red prowler, pulled in and bought it, was not even thinking about buying one ! No regrets and had had much pleasure since ! Only finished high school also.
VAHOTCATGuys, the degrees just don't mean a thing when you have your health, happiness, and good reason to get out of bed in the morning. I have six college degrees, including a PhD, and those pieces of paper couldn't wipe the smile off my face when I drove away in My 99 red Kat. I even bought mine locally. My fiance and I were out on the Harley and I saw this car sitting in front of a deli with a 4-sale sign on her. I told her I'd give my left one to own that car. I mean she was so shiny, and red( which was fashionably matching my neck), so we stopped and looked. She had never seen one before, but I had. I think that's why I offered up the left one. To make a long story short, we bought the car, and you still can't wipe the smile off my face when we cruise around in it. Beats the hell out of 5 corvettes, and all the custom motorcycles I've owned.
Now, for the next topic... The prowler family. You guys and gals have made me feel so welcomed on this site. One, In particular stands out.... TopKat..... Jim, now there is one of a kind. He stored mine for me while we were building on 3100sq ft. to the house with a garage, He has answered any question I've ever had, and has taken off and put back on the front suspension that Gary chromed for me. He told me he went up to look at your car, and called to say what a great car it was and what a good buy it was. Now come on guys, this is just flat out awesome for a guy to do that for someone..... So get out of that puter chair your'e sitting in, stand up I say ,. and give ol' Jim TopKat big ol' golf clap. I said stand up man! LOL
At the risk of being redundant, GaryE, Ken Romain, TopKat, all of you who respond to posts when we newbies have questions, I thank you. So welcome to the Prowler family!!!!!! What a great car, what a great group of people that share a love for a that car. Congrats on your new purchase, and get out there and put some miles on the darn thing!! I know I'll be grinning from ear to ear when I get mine put back together and get on the road. I hope too to meet you some day at an event. Ok, gotta go, the lights greeen............
Randy
L@@KIN41Randy.....You couldn't have said it better!!!
Top KatGreg, I helped you and others because I wanted to. I did not expect anything in return. Thank you was quite enough, however I do greatly appreciate the gift card I received from you from "Richmond Harley Davidson". I will use it well!!! Thank you very much. That was very generous of you, but unnecessary.
You will find that this automobile family ( the POA) is like no other. I am sure you will get your chance to help other members here in the future.
Enjoy you new KAT.
Jim
