There is NO limit how much paint those mats will soak up and predicting where it will migrate to. I ended up trashing the painted mat. I and felt LUCKY that the $103 replacemt mat was still available from MOPAR. A contraction and two words: "DON'T DO IT" JMO ------------------ ------------------hitmus Hi guys!
I'm thinking of painting the prowler outline under the hood.
Felt is hard to paint on...has anyone done it?
I wouldn't want to make a big mess of it, so what kind of paint should I be using and what kind of advice can you give me.
I do have a steady hand for painting so it's a plus there!
Thanks!stevedymo Did mine with a Fine and Medium Felt Marker from Arts/Craft store. Chromer The attached photo does not do justice to how bad the final outcome of painting and felt tipping my hood mat. KenG The Arts and Craft paint pens work great....color the background, not the Kat. Use fine for the outline and medium for the fill-in. I removed the pad and sprayed it flat black first to get rid of the stains and discoloration.

Have done 2 and no problem. Vacuum the pad and spray with a fabric charcoal paint before you use the pens and it prevents the unchecked spreading of color.
