YIKES!! ...if they are as bright and piercing as they look in the photos..bright headlights back into that rearview mirror might be "exchange in kind"?? Maybe (likely) I'm getting old..and don't have time for pesky and annoying lights at night ... This message has been edited by jd2ksilver on 11-09-2005 at 07:57 PM I can tell you this, the reproduction blue dots are made of poor quality glass or plastic and don't even come close to the intensity reflected by the the original antique glass blue dots. Toys CT sounds very similar to NH. They won't even let me have tint forward of the "B" pillars. Although...I can ride around in my 83 Chevy pickup with 2 fully loaded shotguns on my gun rack and won't get pulled over. Go figure??? Brian if anyone has any questions or wants to do any other electrical stuff to there cat... PM me im always up for putting toys in DonnieKlasKat One of our good buddies here in Denver, Russell has found a guy who helped him install LED Blue lights into his 3rd brake light. He said it only took about an hour. Had some difficulty getting the light put back on, I guess 2 of the brackets were broken, but wanted to let everyone see it. I think it came out pretty nice. At night, they really look bright
TooHipCat WOW...sure can't miss that when you hit the brakes. pumpkin Looks great but is it legal ?? KlasKat I think that some states have made blue dots illegal, you would have to check with your state. Most police here let things like this or no front license plate slide here on Prowlers. Chromer No slight to ImInXTC's car...(don't be mad Russell) but this looks like the reverse version of those dreaded "burn your eyes out" blue halogen headlights?? jd2ksilver deleated, sorry IM IN XTC cromer these lights are not any brighter than the standard LED red lights, and they get pretty washed out because of the red.
A huge THANK YOU to Phil I really appreciate the help posting the pics..... you da man dudeKlasKat I do not think they are so bright you will get people flashing you with their brights, we will have to wait and see. They do stand out though. just thought they were different and to each his own... DR PROWLER They stand out.....not bad at all! ed monahan I would like to see them in person. I like blue dots. toys I have two really neat original Antique counter top displays from the 1930-40s, Lynx-Eye Ruby glass tail-light lens displays for Packard & Ford all with blue dots, I also have a display card of Lynx-Eye antique replacement blue dot lenses.
I got these about 40 years ago from my uncle who worked at Wieners Auto parts in New Britain Ct, when they were about to throw them out.
