dhI broke one of my Wheel Center Caps.... Is there another solution to this problem? Does anyone make a better Center Cap??

Thank you,
Dick Howard
Orange Kat from Michigan

RED5I see them on ebay for pretty high prices.

I would guess the best place is to get them is one of our 2 friendly dealers where we get parts for 10% over their cost.

Or you can get a set of spinners but the price on them is up there as well.

ed monahanI don't know exactly what you mean by "I broke it" but if it is the back of it, (the circular wire or the 5 clips) you can repair them. Most of them have been repaired since they all break. You can hot glue them. If it is broken in half, you are probably out of luck. There have been LOTS of posts about repairing them.
KrautAnother solution to broken center caps is to break all the tabs off and add wheel spinners. Let me know if you would like to have the drawings for this modification free of charge. I can e-mail the CAD file to you.
RED5I have not seen spinners that use the caps....very nice.

Must have missed that at woodward.

I would like those please

Georgia ProwlerChryler gets a big for the whole wheel issue from my perspective...The Prowler TECH at the dealership broke the first two with his handy screwdriver. (I've learned to STAY WITH THE CAR!) Anyway I bought 3 extra sets and try to repair them as needed. Get some spares dh.... but the spinners are nice and probably not as expensive as you think after you buy 12 of them!
Also just got my wheels replaced. The dealership let me keep the "returned" wheels as they said Chrysler didn't want them back. I'm going to try to adapt them to my trailer....it was a nice touch from the dealer though.

YELLER CATGOOD MORNING Dick Howard...

The ONLY "real" solution for the ongoing breakage of the Plastic OEM Center Caps is to replace them with the Billet Aluminum Center Caps. These custom designed caps are still available... they are handcrafted and CNC Machined specifically for the Prowler, complete with the Chrome Lug Nuts.

If you are interested in some of the various Kat Owners pictures and comments... just click on "search" and fill in with "Billet Center Caps" for this information.

If you need more information or to place an order, PLEASE call me toll free @ 800 669 3540.

THANKS, Jay

KrautSnowman, send me an e-mail (rainermueller@comcast.net) and I will forward the files to you.

Would you happen to no there address?
Thanks!!

obi-wanThere is a simple way to keep the caps from breaking. I've modified the caps for several years now and had countless caps off. You will need a belt sander(or be very good with a file). Simply take about a mil. of the pointed edges of each "prong" of each cap. This will diminish the overall dia. and thus reduce the "spring". This allows you to remove and replace the caps with less stress on each of the prongs. There is also a trick to removing and putting the caps on. Be sure to use a plastic 'pop'tool as shown in the service book. I have these for 5.oo Inc shipping. I align the tool gap area of the cap to the air valve so I can easily find where the tool is to be used when I inst. the caps I push down on two of the star points together with one hand and "pop" the cap in place with my other hand. If you need further explanation on this you need to contact me at 650-967-3609 Leave a message if I'm not here and I'll get back to you a.s.a.p. I hope all this info. really helps. I've been doing these simple mods for over 4 years now and they really work. There's nothing wrong with the caps they just need a slight 'mod. to make them word for everyone. Hope this all helps, Obi-Wan
